Saki is such a keyboard racer! I mean he’s on his second manual Audi and still on the stock shifter mod. Basically never gone to the track since cars automatically blow up when you go to the track.
C’mon man, your list just doesn’t add up. What I’ve heard so far is:
A) “this is how you launch, not like that!”
B) “I can’t launch anymore my clutch is goin out”
C) “I won’t go to the track bc of my clutch/power/trans. Well maybe I’ll go if some BMW guys go. But not with awd Audi guys”
D) “I’m already planning on going to an aftermarket clutch, but I don’t want to wear out my already tired clutch anymore than it already is”
E) “people with stock clutch’s at the track are just asking for trouble”
You’re just starting to contradict yourself. If you mod your car well beyond the stock clutch’s limit, then it doesn’t matter how you drive it, it’s toast. If it’s toast, then have a good time, don’t drive like a granny and worry about it going out. Learn to launch (good), learn to powershift, drive the shit out of it! Parts break, that’s part of modding. Otherwise go buy a Prius or something you can afford to mod/fix when you enjoy it. Or just don’t mod at all. I think you’d just be happier framing a dyno made in MS-Paint, that way you’d never have to loose a race.
I’m personally a big fan of the 335 potential, but the list of excuses is pretty sad. Going to the stop is a blast, and you don’t have to launch or go full out to have a good time there. Saying you “don’t care about comparing your car to other cars” is the biggest crock of shit ever, considering you’ve already gone to the dyno, commented on launching videos, spent all day posting over here, and cite doing pulls with buddies. That is comparing your car to other cars, which is half the fun of modding.
