Well, I just got back from SOWO and i must say I had a really good time. The mountains out there were beautiful as always, brought back a lot of memories from my time spent out there years ago.
I met a couple really cool people and saw a pretty sweet supercharged b6 s4 out there. The APR guys were over trying to figure it out, lol. Where is it, where is it.

Yea it was funny seeing the APR guys trying to poke around. Almost got a pic of them looking but missed the chance.
Yea, Joe got in town late Friday night then drove back at 5 on Sat. . . it’s a cool show, but that’s a whole lot of driving for that little of time.
Tom (trexturk) came down too, but he was there from Thus to Sun. But then sent me a pic of his tire shredding apart on the drive back. . . He doesn’t have good luck leaving that show lol.

Pretty sure one of them was Arin. There were a couple other APR guys there too. They had a huge fancy booth with tv’s and mock ups of their turbo kits and all their associates dressed in Charlie sheen grade APR shirts. A couple of them came by mad’s car and were diligently poking around his engine bay.
We met jfonz there too. He seems like a really cool,laid back guy.

good stuff. APR is a big company and spends plenty on advertising. I was on a German Sheppard forum a few weeks ago, and I was kinda surprised they weren’t a site sponsor.

Lotus, but it’d seen better days. It was slammed and driven hard. And even had some of the interior stripped out (I didn’t think lotus gave you enough of an interior to strip anything out!)

I even heard other people talked to him at the show and he mentioned they were shooting for 500whp in the very near future or something like that, and how he was getting APR’s first S/C swap. . .
Solomotorsports / J-Fonz project car. I think it was 67mm turbo, S54 motor and built I’m assuming.
Ehh. . . I have a soft spot for old M5’s, and this one looked amazing. Almost bought one as a project car, but the S38 motor sounds like a bit of a nightmare.

I think that guy is a member here. Imola monster. He ran 11.83 @ 116 with every mod you can get for the B8, on race gas at primetime’s track. Remember this thread?
^haha, too funny, and nope, didn’t remember that thread. Looking at it now, I don’t think I ever saw it, I probably would have posted at some point in it if I did. Both of them had some solid times, but that’s nothing new.
Like I said, I had no clue who the car was or anything about it/him. I was just hearing some funny stuff from a 5th person point of view (i.e. stories grow as they’re passed along obviously). The rear badge I got no problem with, I just didn’t get the APR badge on both side fenders as well as trunk lid and engine bay. Part of that might be my general distain for APR though lol.
When you put together being told the B8 S4 was going to make 550WHP in the very near future by a APR blower kit, everything else starts to look pretty funny though b/c I’m very skeptical of that after seeing everything else develop in the Audi world.
