ok so I have sold my beloved RS4. the new owner wanted to see it perform on a dyno before buying so I thought I would share the results and finish this thread off properly.
my car is a JHM stage 1 car running the JHM stage 1 software. JHM full 2.75 exhaust with cats and resonators. JHM intake spacers and I also have the JHM lightweight flywheel. car was running on 91 octane and was very hot going onto the dyno. I’m sure if we let the car cool down it would have produced a lot more power. that’s been proven at the drag strip many times.
the car made 407 at the wheels on neetronics dynojet. the guys there informed that their dyno reads low and that I should add about 30hp to the final number… take that for whatever u want but they did show me a dyno from a few years back on a stock RS4 and my car made about 95hp more. honestly I don’t give a fuck what a dyno says, the quarter mile is the only measuring stick that matters. I only did it because the guy wanted proof the car would do what I said it would do. after the dyno I gave him all my stock parts and said goodbye to my RS4. I kept my bronze wheels with my brand new Michelin pss. I’m selling the wheels if anyone wants them.
does the jhm stage 1 kit perform? absolutely, it does exactly what they say it will do. and I would recommend it to anyone. the only thing I would have changed is the stage 5 clutch. if I did it again I would go with the spec stage 3 plus with the jhm lightweight flywheel. I know some ppl think u cant mix and match parts but I believe u can and have done it many times before and if I kept the car that’s what I would have done. I’m going to miss the car tons but its time to buy something that the wife can drive so I’m looking at the b8.5 s4.
