10 deposits now with me, 21 deposits or more total (18s+19s) gets a $2000 discount

18s are all between 17-19lbs. The RS-41 & RS-45s being the lightest.

Damn that is a hell of a deal. I just dont know if i could part with my OEM RS4 wheels. I love them so much. Anyone have an opinion on what would look good on my car? Ive looked long and hard but have never fully loved a wheel like did the RS4.

Definitely hard to pass up. I’m betting it’ll hit the $2000 discount before the end of the month. Personally I think either of these wheels would look awesome and still maintain a similar look.

Keep a set for your winters and the forged set for summer.

I love BC Forged wheels. At the crazy discount you guys are likely to hit, this is a smokin deal!

Unfortunately, I wont be able to join this year.

I actaully just got a set of peelers for the winter. The RS4 wheels are so tight that i dont know if i could use them for winter. Tempting. Ill keep my eye on them. The bottom pic you posted is the one i would consider. (not white though)

Haha definitely not white. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a car with white rims and thought, that’s awesome. I’m with you on the RS4 rims too, I think they’re pretty much the best looking rims you can buy. Too bad you can’t buy a set that only weighs 17.x lbs per corner.

A group buy on $4K wheels…haha yeah right

Good luck, but I don’t see a snowballs chance in hell of you guys ever getting close to any real discount…good like just trying to get 4 people on board

Awesome, thanks for your invaluable input. Maybe you should try reading before you jump to making what I can only assume you think is a funny post. Let me help you out though, it’s up to 10 people already for a total savings of $1050, $800 discount + free shipping which is normally $250, and it’s not even half way through the month.

And I am so tempted to add myself to the purchase list . . . . :o

It does seem tough, but don’t forget…people buy wheels like crazy.

to me the most surprising thing is the margins in these frigging wheels…they’re basically showing you their margins. They’re still making money at the 20+ end. Crazy. So a $4500 set of wheels probably costs the seller about $1800-2000.

How they get these forged can have a big effect on pricing too. The economy of scale is hugely important in forging operations. Costs of dies, parts hit per setting of dies, heat up, heat treat, shotblast, ingot.

Exactly, i heard at one point hartmann made a forged version of the RS4 but scraped it because no one bought. I would love a set of the forged RS4 wheels.

they did. but they were 18" and they were skinny, and they were $3,500 or something.

OEM RS4 weighs like 26.8 lbs, which is excellent for 19x9.0 ET29 cast wheels that look great. I have never seen anything I liked more, other than the HRE which is a replica of a BBS wheel. P40 HRE I thinK? But they’re $5,000.

The ADV wheels are all either ugly or replicas. I don’t get the wheel business. Everyone rips everyone off.

I like the P40 too but so many companies have a similar wheel. I like the way ADV makes wheels. They may be copies but for some reason visually they always look awesome.

But i agree saki, the wheel business is nuts. The mark ups on some of these wheels is crazy. I would only buy these expensive wheels at deep discounts. (such as the one posted). ADV made a copy of the Audi wheel i think its called the RS Quattro wheel. Looks cool but the price is nuts. I wish they would do one like the RS4 wheel.

Forged wheels are marked up around 90%. A friend I grew up with and his family have been manufacturing forged rims for a long time. Oh and they’re rich as fuck.

Those P40s are probably the most common rim design I’ve ever seen. Go up a few posts, the BC Forged ones look almost exactly the same. ADVs are insanely expensive. A set of 18x9s that weigh only 18 lbs run over $8k.

are those net forged, or are they forging then machining blanks?

Honestly, I’m not sure.
