well shit, if you were ‘in charge of product development’ don’t you think you’d give a little background to who you were, and what your accomplishments were?

We already know that ‘product development’ consists of a lw battery kit that Ben developed on his computer, end links for cars with beefed up sway bars (a great idea I think) and an exhaust…all developed on some software Ben downloaded to his home computer (we’ve all seen his torrents list lol).

That exhaust was developed, and much to ‘enrique’s’ chagrin, we have quotes of Ben saying they’re going into production with Sebring mufflers and tips etc. about a dozen times. To claim that ‘all along Sebring was just for the prototype’ is a laughable attempt to backtrack after being told to fuck off for being a copycat by Sebring.

This whole thing is a sham. Next is the photo of the shop with the shiny floors to get the quattrofail guys salivating. I just can’t wait for the lid to really get blown off.

Fail post. Assuming you are actually a different person…You said you had a few investors… then you said you had a bunch of investors ::). This forum has potential customers to offer so I don’t see how you think it has absolutely nothing positive to offer. LOL don’t try to BS your way out of the sebring thing, your company has already stated the exact opposite in the past. If you had any familiarity with the industry you would have heard of JHM, don’t try to downplay them. You coming on here and making 1 lame post gives you zero credibility. If you want any credibility you’re going to have to establish some. As was stated before TTS is a perfect example. They got a hard time in the beginning, but they proved themselves. All you’ve done now is make EBwerks seem even more shady… Not that you care, because this forum has nothing to offer for your company anyways.

their address is the same address as GMP plating Inc. It is what looks to be a 50,000 square foot building. Obviously they didn’t take that space over in order to make a few mufflerless exhausts. Guess enrique (or is it Henrique) or ben has someone there forward their mail over. Really strange.

Anyone in the Bay area want to show up there and ask for ebWerks and see the looks you get? :smiley:

LOL, i’m confused. I read over and over about “shiny floors” are bad but now it is shared addresses as well. Maybe the happy medium is mom’s garage? ;D

In any case, I think again that everyone should slow down and stop trying to judge (positive or negative) before this “vaporware” becomes real. And FWIW, I think that the co-owner of EBwerks is legit as I have seen him posting this way for months on other forums, particularly those geared towards Porsche.

I still don’t quite get the strong interest here on trying to set these guys up to fail. Who cares? Everyone can make pretty quick judgements once products are on the street.

Lots of JHM fans on this site think ebwerks trying to replicate and undercut the JHM exhaust is dirty. That’s it really. When they’re running around promoting their shit on various websites, including this one, it’s going to get called out for some answers, especially when they’re all confused and lying about everything every 5 minutes. They need one story to stick to. Appears they are having trouble doing even that.

They don’t even have a final product for crying out loud…yet they have posted videos to show how the exhaust sounds (including a thread dedicated to that on this very site) and dyno info. They are dropping info on this non-existant product all over the web mainly in an effort to get people who were ready to buy other exhausts to hold off and give it the old ‘maybe I’ll wait and see what these guys come up with’. Their soundclips are useless because the new mufflers will NOT be what they originally promised half a dozen times here on AR alone. Their dyno numbers are useless for the same reasons.

They claimed this was how they’d planned it all along (to not use Sebring/034 etc.) …but if it was, why on earth did they publish sound and dyno info? Have they got so little understanding of exhaust flow dynamics and sound that they didn’t realise their prototype’s results, on which they did the testing, would be quite different to the final product?

They either LIED about planning to not go with Sebring all along, or they are inept. Not a very good choice for a new unproven business.

I have been reading along, which is why I have commented “who cares” a couple times.

Why expend all this energy on vaporware? Why bash or try and promote? Don’t provide any publicity and if/when the product launches you can actually start to make more valid comparisons.

Vendors (ones that have decent marketing at least) always try and seed the market a bit before a product launch. Trust me, there is nothing worse than crickets chirping. However, all this “controversy” is doing nothing more than creating additional publicity for a product that may or may not deliver.

So, how about we just wait?

i do think some of what he posted was bullshit and he did see to be a little arrogant. wait actually sounded like a dick. i liked the mick part too…crazy…this is becoming entertaining…well actually it always has been.

i do agree with you guys when someone says something will be ready in 3-weeks you are hoping that is the case and it does get annoying waiting.

i am hoping ben and enrique deliver something good priced and is good otherwise, i am not buying.

That’s what he said here anyway…what mick’s actual involvement is behind closed doors may be entirely different to what is stated on the forums. Mick is pretty outspoken and has his share of people online who don’t think much of him…so I can see why they’d want to distance themselves from him in public.

The COO/Product development manager Enrique could’ve just called Mick and said “hey, thanks for cheering us on but could you turn the chatter down on the forums, old chap?”. I just think that comment shows complete lack of class and tact on the part of EBWerks. In Mick’s shoes, I would’ve preferred to have been called a cunt!

Unfortunately not (I was a dork sysop on a couple different BBSs before Al Gore invented the Internet) and the rest has been downhill for me starting with newsgroups and then progressing through dozens of forums. Oh well. Anyways, my point was that it just seems like that back and forth on this has become completely non-productive and mirroring what you see on an off-topic site.

It is a bit comedic how there is almost an orchestrated effort to bring down this company before they even branch out from being a plating company though! :smiley:
