BenSTi vs. JHM tuning

Hey Guadalupe,

Is it possible to get a group buy on the 996 Turbo front splitter. I think $650 may be a bit steep, unless they are maid of plastic that has been melted down from something more expensive than plastic. Please let me know when you get a chance.

P.S. The ‘About Us’ section on your website has more grammatical errors than my second grade report about dinosaurs…

guess you didn’t read it.

Mr Gutierrez, fear not…nobody copies the guys who run a phantom company with no real estate and no phone number. Their address? His dad’s metal plating company. Their phone number? His cell phone. Their exhaust on the Audi section of the webpage? CAD drawings lol.

Fail.

just asked on the 6speed thread about the RS4 exhaust

http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996-turbo-gt2/275964-my-new-exhaust-ebwerks-2.html#post3563026

[QUOTE=sakimano;3563026]Any more info on your B7 RS4 exhaust? It was dyno’d and shown on videos to the forums…and ‘head engineer’ Ben Steigerwald (14 months past his 18th birthday…must have fast tracked his ChemEng degree) said it would have Sebring mufflers and tips.

Now someone else representing the company named thinkpad is saying it will not use Sebring mufflers and tips.

It was also supposed to be Titanium, but now it’s stainless steel according to the ‘webpage’.

Any more information on this? Seems to be a moving target. Nothing but radio silence on the Audi forums from your company over the past 2 weeks.

nice…lol

shocker: 6speedonline edited my post to hide the fact that

a) Ben is not an engineer at all, so describing him as ‘head engineer’ is a joke
b) Ben is just out of high school

It’s pretty incredible that two guys with ZERO experience, ZERO business history, NO address, NO phone number, can show up on one of the largest car forums in the world, and by waving some of Martin Gutierrez’ metal plating money around, become a sponsor of the site with enough power to delete any damning information about them.

This is why I love this site. You can’t hide your lies, failures or the skeletons in your closet from audirevolution.net!

I just paid attention to the 911 exhaust and am wondering why the X pipe. IIRC, it is more efficient for exhaust gases to flow straight out after the turbo. Maybe CV, Flowtech, Beemercer or someone else can chime in…

i like that they “hope nobody will copy” the 911 TT exhaust, yet their design is a direct copy of a design that fabspeed, GMG, and AWE have all been building for several years now…

is it really? Interesting. Someone bring that up on 6speed…then prepare to be threatened with a ban lol.

AWE: (this is a 997, but you get the idea…)

There are probably several other companies that make something similar as well. Pretty standard porsche stuff at this point… EBwerks just appears to have no resonators/bullet mufflers, just straight pipes. which would be why everyone in that other thread is creaming their undies about the sound…

lots of money to be made copying what other people invent… look at everything that comes out of China!

at least China calls a spade, a spade… They dont hide the fact that they are copying.

They dont trace catbacks on paper, then call it an original drawing and ask people not to copy what they are copying.

knowing that I personally am interested in possibly getting a 996tt… I read a lot on 6speed and it’s interesting how many enthusiasts love EB’s exhaust… then its even better humor to come on here and read more info lol
