Bluetooth devices that work with 2007 MMI

Nixed my Sat Radio subscription, so now I’m wondering what devices might be able to pair with my MMI in my 2007, without an MMI upgrade. Basically, I just want to buy an iPod (or whatever) off eBay that is capable of streaming audio to my MMI over blutooth, since it seems that it isn’t capable of pairing with any of my modern smartphones. Would an old iPod touch do it? Any other devices that anyone has had any luck with?

On another note, has anyone else experience really crappy reception with their Sat Radio? I finally ditched my subscription because I got tired of losing reception literally every single time I went under a bridge. Nobody else I know has the same Sat Radio reception issues. Is there something I could do to boost the reception?

afaik tune2air is the only bluetooth option

i’ve been meaning to pick one of these up for the longest. It’s $89 on amazon.

And then I don’t have the iPod jack in my glovebox, so that means I need to pick up an AMI kit as well, correct? Which I found for like $189, so this is looking like a $300 project… :-\ Bummer, I was hoping I could just grab an old iPod Touch for like $50 that would work with the car’s Bluetooth as-is

I have an extra ami unit and tune2air module if you’re interested

Here’s a solution that was specifically designed to match our cars… https://www.facebook.com/groups/544071212271781/permalink/1767178756627681/?sale_post_id=1767178756627681

Hey Black

I would be interested in the AMI unit. Let me know if you still have it.

So I bought the Viseeo WMA3000A Tune2Air for my 07 S6 and no dice. It basically told me to eat :poop: and die. I actually thought I had a defective module so I returned it and ordered a new one… and same :poop:. I looked closely at the plug and saw that the pins are in different location from the AMI IPod cable. I actually took a close up picture of the plug just not sure how to post. .

I think on the 2007 you may have to buy a bluetooth adapter that has a power cord as well.

check that site out.

I gave up on the bluetooth for now, but this is what I was looking at for next steps.

I still can’t believe Audi sold a $75k luxury car that didn’t come with any capability of listening to something besides radio or CDs. Even my old subaru had an Aux jack :-\

That disappointed me too, especially in a 2010… I have to pay $500 for an updated MMI on what you would think should be standard.

Is the 2008 stereo different then the 2007? I’m running a Coolstream CarPro hooked to my ami. Works great! Amazon $79.99
