Blurred Lines: C6 and C7+

Recently I had a headlight bulb go out and I’ve been hunting for a pair of RS6 headlights, which got me thinking something that I’m sure some of us have thought: is there any better headlight solutions out there for us (performance and even aesthetic)?

I searched around and ended up finding R246.com, which has European and RS6 guys around to give some insight on what our crazy brethren overseas are up to. Turns out quite a bit! A user ‘Trups’ has been retrofitting and upgrading projectors/styling in RS6 headlights for years now, and they look beautiful. Performance is apparently out of this world, said to be X10 better than stock due to the new projectors with better technology. I’ll list a picture below.

In this same light, I came across a German company 7-Light which retrofits quite a few things with A6/S6/RS6 C6 and other Audis. But what’s neat about them is they added dynamic turning features into headlights and side mirrors. I’ll list the video of the RS6 dynamic lights below, the mirrors and a pair of tail lights I found that have dynamic turning as well. The only difficulty is that those tail lights are for RHD and not LHD, but is that just an easy fix?

It’s really eye opening as to what after market features are available for us. I also started looking into remote engine start, which would be an ideal mod in our colder months when we’d rather not sit down on an icy seat! I found several options for these, but I’m not sure if one stands out??

Thoughts?

That’s neat something worth looking into but it can get expensive quickly I would think. If you could get that bumper cover to work that would be a big win tho

It’s EASILY $1800-2200 (RS6 headlights, retrofit materials from Morimoto, LED supplies from 7-Light) for the custom headlights. Granted they would be extremely upgraded when putting 4 xenon lights in. Still I’m debating going through with it if the price is right.

That’s a lot of head lights IMHO… .But I’m not really that kind of guy. I think the standards are not too bad and you can mod the old standards for super cheap to be ultra bright.

Any chance on the bumper cover fitting? I think the RS6 has those front flairs so probably not…but still looks great

It will with some fender work. BlackS6 already pulled that one off, so I’ll be looking to import one too. I found one completed in phantom black, so no $$$ spent on a paint job! :smiley:
