Slightly off-topic, but it looks like Mad Men is getting the Breaking Bad treatment. Series finale now broken into two 7-episode seasons. Won’t conclude now til 2015. That’s kind of infuriating.
Yeah I bought BB season 5 last year, only to be told by the iTunes that these last episodes this year aren’t “season 5”, they are the “final season”. WTF. For all intents and purposes its the shows creators and AMC who did the crime, but Apple should have gone to bat for the customers. It was a complete deception, and I have no problems downloading the remaining episodes through torrents and fully welcome any action against me: hey, I paid for season 5.
Have to second the above comments regarding the realism. I started my career as a R&D process engineer in the pharma industry, and loved every single “cook” scene. My wife would have to tell me to shut up and just watch the show.

Me too…they make Uncle Jack et al basically the superheroes of evil, even if they are total hillbillies.
Gotta assume by now Heisenberg will be coming for justice…hopefully he doesn’t accidentally kill Jesse…

Fortunately my wife is a chemist so I didn’t have that problem…:-). For her, without a PhD (sorry, assumption here it’s the same for you), most don’t stay more than a few years in R&D or move to another group, unless they have the personality of Gale. Wow they nailed it too, with the Gale/Walt relationship.

Skyler = Felina…I think Walt comes back, wants to kill Todd and the gang but tells the DEA that Jack and gang killed Hank and Gomez, realizing he cant avenge the death himself. He’s also pissed that the blue stuff is still being made, clearly a sign that they never killed Jesse. At some point Walt is lured back to Skyler’s new house and is caught in a trap with Jack on one side and the DEA on the other. Ends up with everyone blowing each other away and Walt dying with Skyler by his side.
First 5 years of my career I did the same job as other highly experienced PhD’s. They made over twice the salary I did. Really motivated me to go into management. Now they work for me. LOL
