Been off the forums for the last couple months, did everyone get rid of their cars? Bora has a cts-v, Joe got a moostang, that guy with the 3.0 FWD conversion got a 328… Did MickF get rid of his car too???

Joe got a Cobra…should be awesome. Hopefully he can hit the dragstrip in it and show us how smart he is.
Bora got a CTSv which is also awesome. He will be hitting the strip in it again this weekend after clipping off a 12.8 @ 118 last week with a 7 second 60 foot time 
Mick ditched his ebwerks exhaust after only a month on the car. He claims it is to ‘preserve it’ for the winter. Umm…who the fuck does that with their exhaust? Nobody. He obviously can’t stand the sound. The major changes they made to the JHM exhaust they copied was the deletion of a resonated section and they used different mufflers. Interesting that it is unbearable enough that he took it off after a month (and after losing a few grand on the deal). I can see him selling his RS4. The tide has shifted on Mick. People on this site figured out he was an ethically vapid moron ages ago, and that realisation took hold of AZ soon after. Now, even on quattrofail people recognize that he is full of lots of shit and pretty much crazy. He needs the internet for adultation and as a measure of his self-worth. When that doesn’t go his way, it should be no surprise that he steps away a bit or sells the RS4. Maybe he’ll opt for a fresh start somewhere else. Wherever he goes, his reputation will follow him (and if it doesn’t, I will make sure it does 
)

MK6 GTI/GLI. Drive it off the lot straight to the shop and go stage 2, k04 it in the springtime. I want to buy a place soon and getting an s4/c63/whatever is going to stretch me too thin to do that comfortably. I think I’ve test driven every single car in the world now lol.

I agree, TONS of fun to drive, and the interior is surprisingly nice. My favorite interior out of any car in my price range aside from the b8.5 s4. The GTI is pretty popular locally so I might get the GLI to have something a bit different.
I’m a bit biased because the salesman let me take the car for the whole day, which was weird but I wasn’t complaining 
Our mk6 GTI is an impressive car for sure. Fast enough to be peppy around town, 7l/100km cruising on the highway and, as you said, a lovely interior but also much better rear legroom, especially compared to my B6 S4. Access in and out of the GTI is generally better.
I don’t know anyone that regretted buying a mk6 GTI (except maybe 91gl? I think he went B8 S4)
I almost bought an MK6 GTi. Great car and they are damn quick with 3k in mods (k04 tubo and supporting mods). I decided not to finance that much being in school still.
Get a '13 gt500. Faster than most twin screw cobras STOCK.
I know! It’s going to cost me like 3k WITH the install, lots of local support for the 2.0T where I’m at.
My financial wall was $60k, the gt500 is $62k starting in Canada, so it’s out. What ford forums are you on now? I have accounts on a bunch of domestic forums when I was looking at camaros and mustangs earlier this year lol.
FYI The Camaro5 ZL1 section has some massive douches in it lol. I posted asking about the car and got a 2 page thread worth of replies where they said I was a troll because apparently it was impossible to have test driven one :

I am on svtperformance as well… Mostly for the kill section and pics and vids section… Been on there for a long time… Some epic threads over there plus Treynor always posts his rides… For those that haven’t heard of him, he is an executive for Google and car junkie… He recently won the auction for a 1 off Ferrari… Cost him like 1.6MM or so… He posts quite a bit and seems really cool… The best is when a newb call’s BS on him…

Yeah the killl section is awesome. SO many different sections on that forum, and they’re always being posted in. They have a smack down section too, which is a good idea for moderated forums like AZ. Any thread that turns into a violent war gets moved to there
