We went to visit the in laws today and I didn’t see the brand new trailer hitch in her dad’s Rubicon… Needless to say there is now a nice broken out hole in the driver’s side DRL lense.
Is there any way to replace just the outer lense? If not, how hard is it to replace the DRL unit as a whole?
You have to replace the whole unit. There is a seller on eBay from Latvia. You can get a OEM unit from him. The bumper has to come off unfortunately to replace the left side, but I think you can get to the right side without removing the bumper.

Did it match the opposite one well? I think that’s my biggest worry about replacing the whole unit is that it won’t match the existing one on the passenger side. I looked on eBay and there’s like dozens that look right but they have different light setups and tinting and what not.
Perfect match. OE light, which I think is Ulo. Ulo has a plant in Latvia, and I assume it came out of the same plant. Only thing that was missing was the Audi markings/stickers. Quality was superb. If they were seconds, I could find no flaws.
I would buy only from this seller, personally. I was told about this seller from my mechanic. He/customers had bought many times with no issue.
