Bumper Cover u-clip

In trying to get my bumper cover off to replace it because the adjuster was seized I broke this little green clip off and am now kind of stuck getting it back on. So far I’ve tried a few generic u-clips from Advanced Auto that won’t fit right and I just got off the phone with an Audi dealer who is telling me I have to buy the whole rad support to get that clip sigh

Any of you guys have any suggestions? I’ve googled a ton and this little piece is proving to be quite elusive.

So 24 views and no replies is making me realize just how obscure of an issue this is. I’d like to post an update either way as I feel like I can’t be the only one to ever break one of these fasteners. After calling 2 more dealerships and hearing crickets from both of them I googled the 1 of the 2 words that are printed on the fastener itself - “EJOT”. Turns out that is the company who manufactures these things and I was able to get in touch with their “tech support” whom I will be sending micrometer measurements of the fastener in hopes he has some samples he can send back to me. As a contingency I’m still playing around with store bought ones to see if I can’t grind one of them down to fit on the core support and ultimately allow me to screw this bumper bracket back in and get my car back together. Fingers crossed.

I can only suggest fixing the clip with plastic weld but I don’t know how well that would hold.

Sooooo - I had one of the dealers I called call me back and apparently I’m just not very clever with my keywords searching google. He told me he literally typed “green audi bumper clip” and tons of results came up. Sure enough he appears to be right. I just ordered some from Newegg that look to be exactly what I need.

Appreciate the reply though murph - although I would be of the same mind about how well repairing the broken clip will hold. Either way I appear to be good to go now.

I think its awesome you found them on newegg of all places. I just took my fender liners out and they look similar to one of the plugs along the fender just not in green.

That’s impressive it even says for Audi. You don’t see that all that often.
