Hi guys, I got sent over here from audizine by V8a6 - there he had mentioned an info dump for the C6 S6. I am trying to see if I can fit 20 by 10s on my car, hopefully running coilovers in the future. I don’t want to drop it too much, but I do like the idea of being able to adjust it up and down. I know the big brakes pose problems on these cars, and it seems most of the aftermarket wheels are all narrower than stock… Thanks for any help you can provide!
Hey! Welcome to AR!
Offset and tire selection is going to be the key fitting 20x10s. Also, as you mentioned, brake clearance up front may have to be considered.
I would guess you would do best with a set up something like the following:
20x10
et45 or so
285/30/20
Make sure the tire is XL rated, so you get the 99 load index.
But, dont take my word on it, as I havent had the change to play around with different offsets as of yet. You would be best hearing from someone here who has run a similar setup.
I remember there was one way back. Ill do a search and see what I can find.
I’m running 19’s so of marginal help, but 19x9.5et40 sets the lip of the rim slightly past flush at stock height/chamber.

tire comparison tools for when you’re going to non-stock size - helps determine how far off you are (or close to), non stock overall diameter.
hey, found the post. It was PaulF running 275/30/20 on 20x10 et44

He originally posted that they were 275/35/20s, but after corrected it to 275/30/20s
His S6 is definitely one of my favorites
Crosby welcome to the forum. you couldnt be in better hands. looks like you got the answers you needed from two great members dont be shy if you have other questions.
I am looking at a getting a set of 20x10 Niche Milan et +40…with stock ride height I am wondering if they will fit with a 275/35 tire??? any input would be greatly appreciated
275/35/20 would be way larger diameter than stock… You’d want 275/30/20, give you an 83.2" diameter vs. stock 82.6" which is pretty close - the speedo would read about .5mph fast like that.
I doubt you’d have any other clearance problems with an et40; I don’t with plenty of room to go wider.
thanks for the info. The orginal tire size (265/35/19) OD is 26.3 according to tirerack.com and the 275/30/20s OD is 26.5 so I guess that is close enough… Im about to pull the trigger on some continental extreme contact dws for $107 per tire on closeout on tirerack.com
I just ordered a set of those myself from TireRack, last week. They have jacked the price, as I got them at $97.78 a tire. Grab a set quick before they jack again!
Wow That’s a nice price!
