Hahaha… nice clip

JHM goodies should be on the way pretty soon

I would maybe sell the sensors separately

Or consider keeping them just incase. That looks like about six hundred dollars in sensors. I’d like to see what’s replacing these parts.

I have to check with CV if we will be reusing these, but I just figured that we will need new ones regardless.

Two of them apparently require an engine drop to get to. So, I just can’t see anyone installing a pair of used O2 sensors to replace any faulty ones. In fact, it makes sense to even change a ‘good’ sensor with a new one, if you are already in there replacing a bad one that requires the engine drop.

The only situation where I can see it making sense installing used upper O2 sensors on this car, to save a few bucks, is if it was a garage or dealership wanting to sell a car, and just needed it to pass emissions.

From what I have heard, the lower two can be more easily accessed. So maybe a used sensor in those positions is OK. I personally would just go with new, if I am paying the labor to replace.

So, my feeling is that they are practically worthless. Maybe worth $50 each, if you can find a buyer. I will update the ad though, and add “O2s available for sale separately”

Now, if they can be used on other Audis, then I guess there may be a market. However, the S6 market is so small, I thought it would be better just to include them with the exhaust manifolds.

On German eBay and car-part, most of the sellers are dividing up the exhaust into four parts, and asking at least $400 per section with no O2s. I guess the idea is that if any one of the cats go bad, you just replace that part of the exhaust manifold, not all four. Browsing eBay, I also found that Magnaflo sells each of the four parts of the exhaust manifold. It is pretty funny, they had a chance to offer a performance option, but it looks like they kept everything the same as stock, and use normal (not high flow) cats. Theirs are about $650 each plus tax, shipping.

Anyway, stuff is priced to move FAST

Yeah I will get right on finding you a buyer.
For the record the front wideband sensors on my rs4 are about 250 each . The rears are about 80 each. If yours are the same (I’d be surprised if not ) and they’re worth half their new value used , that’s 300 bucks in sensors you’re giving away . Conservatively.

Holy crap, I had no idea. Thanks for the info. I am just used to the old C5 A6 ones being crap, and having to be replaced every two years.

And, on that note, no need to look for a buyer just yet. CV says that he is going to do his best to reuse them.

Cheers!!!
