the amount of ignorance later on in the thread is astounding. after wading through all the bitching about the LT1 designation it turns into a shit show about how its “only” 20hp up from the ls3 and wont be boost friendly with the compression ratio. the tq curve is phenomenal and with the vvt, a tune on it will net stupid power. obviously the majority over there arent well versed with DI and the magic it produces with boosted apps. oh well, the aftermarket will show what those motors can do within a year if not the later OEM iterations for the higher spec cars.
Viper, Corvetter, Camaro are turning into a mish-mass ok look alike vehicles. This has a lot going for it, but Im not feeling the exterior aesthetically

I simply can’t believe how far upscale they are taking this car, beyond the C6 I drove last year. The interior is bang on from the video, and eliminating the cheap materials and shitty seats must cost a lot. The exterior looks a little confused between Ferrari, GT-R and corvette, but you can see what buyers they are aiming for, and they are after a different buyer for sure.
If they price this car anywhere near the C6, they will be taking a massive loss with each car. Either that or they already are banking on a home run.

might be part brand loyalty, but I am absolutely enamored with the car. The amount of thought and engineering that went into it (and many other vehicles im sure) is astounding. I geeked the fuck out watching that video. Great stuff for sure. Something about a 7MT and that fat nasty tq curve makes all my brain blood go to my boner. The design might seem questionable but people bitched incessantly about the C6 when it was released. Overall i like the way it looks though departing from the round taillights made me frown a little.
I loved the c6 from day one, but I did say they ripped off the Ferrari headlights.
C6 Z06 is one of the best looking cars ever and is hands down the best looking gm product I’ve ever seen.
It’s not brand loyalty at all. Short of having the totally gayest springs in the car industry, I can’t believe they basically nailed every other part of the car. Floating brembo discs, carbon fibre hood and roof, steering rack out of the 991, and the hydroformed aluminum frame throughout the model line…there’s no fucking way they’re making their money on this one at $50K unless they intend to crank out a helluva lot of them, or they are expecting their supplier cost to come down within the next two years. They basically said they are going after the educated car enthusiast. Basically everything about this car, is opposite to the GT-R, but equally as awesome. I’m impressed.

I do that all the time, I thought it was normal. I also go through all the gears really quick at stoplights back and forth back and forth1-6 6-1. Nonstop.
