I’d say tip if the TQ is high enough. Iirc the DSG won’t hold enough torque.

The tip has been getting better. I don’t like the E break on the new cars. Is it just me or do you feel a little less in control without that large lever.

JPO what picture is in your Avatar? I was laughing at that but not sure what the last part says. I can guess tho.

I drove a friends A7 for a 3 hour drive through a couple mountain passes so lots of shitfing. The 8 speed tip was quite responsive and shifted plenty fast.

Car is crazy. Going to run the 1/4 in about 11.4-11.5 stock I’m thinking.

I have no doubt the tip will perform well in this. Based on videos of the S8, which shows very respectable shifts, I’m sure the RS6 will be an even better version.

I can only imagine how fast this thing will be with ECU + TCU tune (if needed). 11.1? 10.9???

Mercedes has proved that an automatic can shift damn near as fast as a DSG.
