Ran 12.190 and 12.191 back-to-back - no waiting in staging lanes for any of the runs. Average of all my runs was about 0.15s quicker than the last time at the track, FWIW.

C7 S6s provide a hell of a platform to start with…

Another C7 S6 just ran 11.20 @ 121 (on a race gas file…), but even on 93, these things are good for mid-11s…

They’re also becoming affordable at this point, so…

Wow, nice times!

Awesome. These cars are incredible.

Honestly your right as much as I love NA and exhaust noises from v10 and throttle response, you cannot argue with performance.

Assuming the trans holds up With abuse anyone with modded and over 100k abused miles. If you can land one for less than 40 and tune it’s really incredible, considering a rs7 is still 80-120k, another car which is good deal and worth considering is 2013 s8 with 50k miles I’ve seen them for 50-60 so your looking at same thing as rs7 minus some handling for 20k less than rs7. I’m thinking I’d do the s8 just for some massaging seats even though the trunk is smaller!

Still need a d3 or c6 to accompany though!!! Can’t resist the nostalgia feeling driving slow(er) cars fast is more fun  day to day and within legal speeds

Thanks for posting this. I think it will be helpful to kinda get a good idea on how these cars do stock The range seems to be between 12.4 and 12.2 You just getting under the 12.2 Not too bad.

Thats good performance.

A few things. If you havent already. A few things I just found out. You can contact Audi and if you give them your VIN number they can send you the origianal window sticker if you dont already have it and they will also tell you production numbers for your car. I would be interested to hear just how many of those cars are out there.

NP, and thanks for the tips.

I got the original window sticker when I bought the car (CPO), so I’m good there. Mine is missing the “comfort seats” option and the B&O audio system. I prefer the standard quilted leather seats, and the B&O doesn’t justify the upcharge IMO, so my car is configured the way I’d have ordered it had I bought it new.

My understanding is that there were about 1200 2013 S6s brought into the US, with the numbers declining in subsequent years to maybe 600 2015s, making C7 S6s all relatively rare here.

I did recently have the ECM and TCM software updated to the “latest and greatest” versions for each, which has made a nice difference in everyday driveability. DBW throttle programming is more aggressive initially, which makes the car more responsive in day-to-day driving, and the trans seems to be a bit more responsive overall as well. I have the details of the software versions if anyone is interested…

Glad they are rare birds. The c6 s6 was something like 800-1200 a year in 07-08 then sharp decline in subsequent years I think 2011 was like less than 300. Once you subtract totalled ones you might be looking at ~2000-2500?

Glad c7 are rare, I’ll admit I’ve seen only one s7 and one s7 from that gen and zero c6. Seen one d3 s8 and one d3 w12 though on my ways to work  I’m in Richmond Va though so it’s not like DC where I was, people here drive more basic lux cars here daily 528, e350 then Porsche etc as weekend cars
