I have been trying to get more companies on the 3.0L bandwagon.

Can I get anyone who uses Facebook to post wanting more/any 3.0L parts on
a vendors Facebook page?

42DraftDesigns already has the means on which to create parts for Audi and VW’s.
They just haven’t had a lot of people show interest in them.

Their R&D time is the Fall and if we post now that will be more incentive for them to do R&D.

The reason I keep asking this is because they are 15 miles from my house and they want to use my car for the builds. Imagine if you had JHM in your back yard wanting to use your car for R&D??

Something to think about. JHM is creating the bandwaggon for us to jump on with no up front evadence that there is going to be a big pay out and 42draftdesigns isn’t too game to do anything unless they see enough interest

Ill be honest with you. I don’t think many people have a interest in 42draftdesigns making any parts for us. If they havent done it already I think its too late. With JHM putting there full force work into this and having now two R&D cars I think were all much better off supporting JHM then we would be to support 42draft.

While Im sure 42draft might be nice guys its a little late for them to try and jump on board now. Not only that but if they did have cheap parts I think me and others would still want to support JHM as they can tune fab and support us much more then most if any company.

Obviously we all support you and if you want to have 42draft make stuff for your car we support you and will be excited for you and love to follow the progress.

just my .02 man. I know this is your 3rd or so post looking to try and convince them to make parts for us. maybe its best off just passing on them and talking to the company that is actually making parts for us IE JHM

100% Agree with Shawn. As he said, it is a little too late. Why are they waiting til now? When JHM has stepped forward and taken the 3.0 as there own and showing we can make something of our cars. Even if they came out with DPs for 100 or more less than JHM I guarantee at least 9 out of 10 of us would still buy JHMs. Not because we are JHM fan boys, because we see the dedication they have put in and support us as much as we support them. How much R&D has gone into the parts they are going to make? If they are going to make a “Cold air intake” then that is a bust from the get go. As we have seen that th stock air box with free mods surpases the CAI with flying colors. While JHM is a business and have to make money, that is not there number one priority. Companies like 42 see and intrest now in our cars, and see dollar signs. That’s why you will see companies now, jump on the bandwagon, get some 3.0 guys to get on board with them, then fall off the face of the earth because their products will be bust.

Sorry I am so one sided but no one has stepped up like JHM has. Their costumer service is second to none. Just take a look at other products alone that other companies have made. You can take all the tunes, DPs, intakes so on and so forth and still be lesser than just the tune it self. Now this is all my opinion so take it with a grain of salt, but I bet money that most of us here feel the same way.

Tell them it will be worth their time if they can make a better or equal product in a shorter amount of time. I’m 99% staying on the JHM bandwagon due to their excellent customer service and communication with the community. Another thing is that JHM has proven they can get excellent results out of NA motors, so I’m kinda hooked.

last thought from me. If any company is going to wait to see how much money there is to make before they start making parts to help people… that might not be the company you want to get involved in your car.

I want a company that is excited to make parts for the sake of supporting me

These are all valid points, but I think the most important hasn’t been mentioned. Do you want someone going into your car starting from scratch, or do you want to work with someone who obviously knows the platform and have a proven track record?

halo I think we would all love you to get great help from a local shop. Its just kinda sad that there only going to help if there is a payday in it. Im sure there nice people at the design place but I would only want someone that is the best doing R&D on my car not just someone that is local.

Even tho your not local to JHM there still doing R&D for your car. So you can kinda think of it that way.

I have toured their facility and seen their products first hand and the quality is there!

The reason they havent already is they had NO project car to use untill now.

As for JHM making parts for the 3.0 what have they made so far?
All I see is the same things other sites carry made by someone else.

As far as a $500. tune to get what? 5%. Questionable?

I am going to talk to JHM about the Tune and see exactley what it is/doing.

We are talking about JH Motorsports right?

Also look at it this way if there was only one company making parts then there would be a
monopoly and you would have to pay what ever price they wanted to charged!

5% what? The tune JHM has developed is nothing close to what anyone has tried. I would put my car up against any other manufactures tune any day. JHM bought there own 3.0 for R&D. JHM has an ECU tune, TCU tune will be out soon, DPs will be out soon, intake mani spacers, the list goes on. Check out the 3.0 JHM thread, Keaton listed what is to come and available.

I’ll just say this, if you want, go ahead and let them put a CAI on there with their own tune so on and so forth. When you are all done, we can line up. I’m sure someone local would love to do some pulls with you if that’s the case.

Until 42 can prove they are a competitor, they will be left in the dust. JHM has a strong track record for n/a cars. It sounds like they are in it for the wrong reasons. I could be wrong.

Halo hey man if what JHM has done already and is doing isn’t enough to convince you then…hey go for it with 42. Ive seen what JHM is doing and has done in this and other platoforms so I think me and others are basically saying. good luck with 42 but none of us are interested in what they have or what there making at this point in time. Most of us are more excited about a well seasoned and proven company that has decided to buy there own car for R&D and not wait to use customers cars for all there work

IF 42 is going to by a A4 like JHM then that would be a good start to gauge there commitment. There is no denying JHM’s comitment to the 3.0 game they bought two of them.

2 I would rather a company do what JHM did and thats take a leep and get there own car and not depend on a customers car.

3 JHM has made. A ECU Tune A TCU tune A shifter A clutch and flywheel kit intake spacers. they tested motor mounts and made adjustments to current motor mounts to better work for us. AND MOST impornant. There involved with us on the ground level. Stuff like the zingo mod and part of JHM working directly with us to help us make free mods

4 99% of the N/A tunes are junk. Might want to read the several post reviews of the JHM tune along with looking at the before and after results in the video

5 once again with the tune. don’t just talk to jhm read the actual peoples reviews. REad mine I have had more then one tune and the JHM tune blows the other tunes away

7 good point but let me say this. JHM has a complete monolipy on the S4 and they sell there products cheaper then all the other companys. thats including there supercharger kit that offers more parts for less money

so thats my take on it. Its clear your excited about what 42 might be able to do and so are we. I just think that maybe you might want to take a second and think if your excited because there close and you think your going to get more or better service because of it. when IMHO I think using them because there close is not a great idea given whats going on with a company that is excitingly looking to advance our power goals without they use of customer cars.

42DraftDesigns makes EVERYTHING the sell and stand behind that product.

JH Motorsports does NOT make everything they sell and I’ll bet your ass they wont stand behind all of it!

JH Motorsports Tune was developed by another company on which they seperated from? Don’t know why.

I am not talking about Tunes I am talking about high flow CATS, downpipes, full custom exhaust, 02 spacers,
gutted cats that have No restrictive flow.
Making components for a remapped air flow channel for better air flow to the throttle body not some
plastiglue duct taped home made crap!

Something that looks like it was made for the car from the factory!

I’ll pay money for something that looks professional.

I am NOT asking you to do something that is hard.
Show them your interested in them making A4 parts.
Namely parts for the 3.0.

I am NOT asking you to promise you’ll buy them just asking you to tell them to give us more choices thats all!

Now you open my engine bay and tell me where the he’ll you can see any home made bullshit? We took 5$ give or take and some time and made more horsepower and better throttle response. If you want to pay for that, then you are an idiot… Just my opinion. I’ll make a solid plastic air box mold and sell it to you if you don’t want to get your hands dirty. I mean fuck dude.
I bet your ass they do stand behind all of it. If it wasn’t for JHM we would all be contemplating a PES s/c kit, getting a 1.8 to mod, or saving up for an S4. If you would rather spend money than save it then go ahead. For you being thick headed. I will not ask them for parts, along with supporting them. The F.I. Exhuast system is sold by JHM because they know it is the best system. They could sell there own but whats the point if it is not going to give better performance. The old saying, if you can’t beat em, join em, applys to this. Have fun with 42. When there parts are a bust and you see JHM all over the boards for number bolt on horsepower rating you’ll be wishing you jumped on board.

Halo, throwing a fit on the Internet will get you nowhere. Now that you’ve displayed your true feelings, you will seriously be better off posting up flyers around your town advertising your crusade for 3.0 parts. Also, have fun with all those airflow boltons without a tune.

FYI Induktion is 5 minutes from my house also.

They use and sell 42DraftDesings stuff.

As for the PES Supercharger its a waste of money ask the Techs at Induktion!

I’ll post pics of my custom airbox airflow rework when its done.

70+ 3.0’s on AZ’s site and maybe 1 said something to 42DD.
