Caved in to the desire for more....

Can’t wait for the JHM exhaust to complete the package.

whats that a George Forman Grill?
Congratz on the new grill.

Looks like an APR supercharger

Is that installed already? That was quick.

Where’d you get it done?

Dan made me an offer that was hard to say no. It was pure torture, twist my arm, called him uncle…:slight_smile:

Really wanted the TTS kit, but when I called twice during UK business hours, no one answered. Anyway it’s not readily available here in the states not to mention hurdles with getting a tune.
Who knows if availability chances may still go that route.

Oh so we spoke on email. Didn’t recognize the different username. Good stuff.

I’m sure you got a great price so if the tts unit is ever available, you can always make the change without taking a beating based on new retail price depreciation on the apr kit.

Is that a used APR kit then? Can’t have been used much, good buy!

Thing looks new! congrats. I couldnt wait any longer myself so I went APR as well. Hoping in the near future to upgrade to JHM

I was wondering who was gonna scoop that up. That means you got a special tune too, good for you. Nice pick up.

Thanks all. The manifold looks new, but the cooler has plenty of paint chips.

Below are my times from 6 3rd gear pulls this morning. The No-SC runs were taken Jan 12th and had a lower temp advantage. Today it ~50F vs ~39.
Current setup with piggies and stock exhaust.

Picked up 1.6 seconds on average.

Top MPH (3rd gear) increased a bit ~5-8mph subjectively speaking. In comparison to the JHM RS4 setup I rode in several weeks back, it reached 120mph in the same 3rd gear run. This was impressive assuming gearing was not modified from stock.

(Units in seconds)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
3k-8k = 6.85
3k-8k = 6.55
3k-8k = 6.62
3k-8k = 6.43
3k-8k = 6.48
3k-8k = 6.61
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Average = 6.59
Average-NoSC = 8.19
Delta = 1.60

Sharm what was done to the car before when it went 8.19 just piggies?

You should hit up the Saturday test and tune at sac. Will be fun.

Also how did you measure the time, with the vagcom logs or with the on board computer stopwatch?

So looks like 750 rpms per second. That’s pretty frigging fast. My car is a reasonably quick and healthy stock rs4 and 570 rpm per second through that range is good for me. So you’re 200 rpms per second quicker.

Also the gearing shouldn’t change. 101 mph should be redline in third gear. If redline is bumped up a bit, maybe 3-4 mph more but that’s it.

What jhm car were you in… The blue one or the Grey one?

Engine related modes, were piggies and jhm 91 tune, early revision.

Timestamps from Vagcomm. Kinda shocked at the numbers today and hoping Dan will forward the set he collected for comparison.

Rode in the Gray with Michigan plates.

Several co-workers are planning to hit the dragstrip soon, just trying to sync everyone’s schedule. Also planning a March road course meet.

Shocked in a good way?

For vagcom time stamping that’s pretty awesome. On vagcom my car is more like 8.5 - 8.6 seconds from 3000-8000. So yeah that’s pretty significant delta

What was the temp when you logged jhm 91 vs tvsr1320 supercharged?

Also what octane was in the car for each log?

Definitely, expecting to be around 7 secs.

Temp wise the 8 second pulls had an advantage.
Today it was ~50F vs ~39F.

As for octane, today’s run was mixed (50/50) 100 & 91. Don’t recall the 8 second, it was either all 100 or mixed (50/50) as well.
