Converting the unknowing to see the light...

I brought my wife’s Honda CRV in for service to an Audi indie I go to regularly for my RS4. It was a good move.

She needed a loaner so she was given an 02 Audi A4 2T. She couldn’t believe how good the Audi is - she says it’s amazingly planted and solid, perfect for the winter storm we’re experiencing. She hates the CRV now… says it’s steering is “vague and loose”… lol. Wow, what a change considering my wife barely knew an A4 from a Camry a few years ago.

I’m happy 'cuz I’ve been trying convince to consider a Q5. Hell, she may even go for a TT, and we’ll keep the CRV for the kids and transporting the dog.

Hallelujah, brothers and sisters… she has seen the light!

Btw, my next step to converting her is a summer vacation at VIR…

The Q5 is amazing man, if you get her to test drive one there won’t be a chance she says no. It’s scary how good it drives in the snow too. We live in NC, but are from PA AND NY and when we are home for winter weather I have to constantly check myself by testing how slippery the roads are. The thing just goes so great and I am almost too comfortable that I don’t want to make a mistake on stopping distance when it is so slippery.

To add to this I had to drive my sister-in-laws 07 CRV for a day while we were in Rochester for Christmas, all I have to say is it felt like a POS compared to my wife’s Q5…no offense.

They definitely feel considerably better. I had owned a variety of cars, and just fell in love with my wife’s 04 A4 1.8T. I ended up driving it more than her, and she tookover my IS300. That started a string of 4 Audi purchases.

Audi was AWD (key for Canada), was not douchetastic like the BMW brand, and was not dad-tastic like MB. It was an easy choice 8 years ago. Of course, now it’s the popular brand of the three, so that’s not helping the interesting factor of the brand, but you can certainly find some interesting cars within the 4 rings.

Q5 is excellent. I actually was impressed with the Q3 at the auto show. Will be interesting to see how well that does.

Count my spouse as a convert. All she needed was access to an RS4.

I was considering an Evo X MR. But the interior wasn’t that of a $40k car. So I test drove a B8 S4 and fell in love and came back and signed a check for a the down payment the next day. I actually always wanted to track a car so I wanted AWD (for the grip - especially in the rain - lol I drove a G35 coupe before that and I had interesting experiences with the rear end slipping). Now I’m on my second Audi. ;D
