Ok is there a certain way to install it? As in which bolts you tighten first? At what torque specs. Etc
Install is easy, bolts are stepped and can only be tightened to a set point. Once you have it apart, you’ll see what I mean. Hand tight is fine.

Do you happen to stil have the part numbers for the updated vc and gaskets? How much do they run?

I just wanted to chime in to share that I am about to start this process with my B7S4. I’ve recently relocated to Seattle and am finding that I am experiencing strange smoking issues, mostly on the hills or after sitting in traffic for a bit. Bright white smoke on random occasions, sometimes under hard acceleration. Sometimes it’s just a little wiff and sometimes it makes me think my car is on fire… Sometimes at a stop light for minute - all some what random. For a few days I was able to replicate the “sitting on a hill either nose up or nose down” and having it just start pluming out white smoke. Then it stopped. Then it started doing it if I’d sit in traffic for longer than 15 or so minutes. Now sometimes it’s happening in corners. I am rigging the car with cameras to film the pipes while I go for some canyon carving and standard use, this might help me better understand the role that engine-load is playing.
Thanks for the good info - I am just wondering how far over it carries from the RS to the S.
Any thoughts?

White means coolant is entering the combustion chamber. I had white smoke but realized it was from the water in the exhaust pipes from when I would clean the tips with soap and water… As I pressed the brakes the water would slide in the exhaust to the front of the car where it’s hotter and steam up
