Correct spark plug gap?

Just picked up some new plus for RS4 at local dealer, I don’t have them in front of me, but they are not the 3 pronged ones like the ones I removed. I just wanted to confirm the right plug gap before I install the new ones? What should they be gapped at?

I can get the new plug part # later today if needed…

Thanks

dealer should sell you pre-gapped plugs. Bosch or NGK?

Before I say anything it’s interesting to see what they are set at and how inconsistent they are. Check the gaps and list them if you can. I have told people for years check your plug gaps before installing.

Also ideal plug gap will be decided off what mods you have…I didn’t see any listed in your Sig.

The plugs I got from the dealer are NGK PFR7S8EG. They are single prong (compared the the 3 prong that I removed, dealer installed some time ago).

I haven’t checked the gaps yet. I have 4 installed, and then it occurred to me I should probably check the gaps before installing, so I figured I’d ask what the gap should be…

Unfortunately, at this point I have no mods. Just finishing up my first carbon cleaning, along with new plugs, new air filter, cabin filter, and oil change… I bought my RS4 in Chicago in May 2007 and imported it it into Canada.

I’ll check the gaps on the four I’ve yet to install, then report back here for advice based on the measurements…

Thanks.

Where do you live?

I think we were through this on the carbon cleaning thread? St. John’s…

Oh yes, sorry. Chicago to NL…how you do that?
