Can anyone comment if this is a fix for water deluge into the luggage area when opening hatch after rain/washing vehicle? http://www.partsbase.org/parts/aud-8j8827359/

3rd brake light is leaking. New one ordered…but, not entirely sure what’s involved with replacement. Any tricks to removing/replacing?
Had the vehicle in for DSG and Haldex service. Tech replaced light. Very simple once rear trim on hatch is removed. No gotcha’s!
