Mdubz why the meyle HD and not the 034 subframe bushings? And ive talked to Jimmy about them. Jimmy’s personal preference is a tight ride. He has the spherical 034 arms and aluminum bushings and everything. From what i recall he said he like them. But they make a little noise when turning and he said they can be a bitch to get in.
Thanks for the feedback Eddie. I’m pretty much set on the 034 bushings for the front. The Meyle HD bushings were in reference to the rear subframe. But thanks for mentioning this. I thought they only had them for the front. Just found the rear ones with Google. Looks like I’m gonna buy those now.
yeah 034 makes both front and rear. Im probably going to end up like you soon. I need to redo my front suspension with new LCA’s and when i do it ill end up going aluminum in the front. The rears ill probably do next year.
Yep, I like my car to be really stiff but I do want to adjust the coilovers to be a little softer. It can be a little jarring to hit some of the nasty pot holes in the DC area.
The front subframe on my car needs a bead of filler metal around the rear lower openings to stop the 034 bushings from shifting. The tolerances are so sloppy that it is amazing. Guess it will be a good time to weld the subframe together so that it doesn’t move either. I have the rear subframe bushings too but I haven’t installed them yet.
MDUBZ, you definitely need a press to remove the stock subframe bushings and it needs to be rather large at that to get the subframe in place. You may not need to open the holes with a die-grinder if you stick the 034 bushings in the freezer for a day before trying to install.
Just got the subframe back today. Hopefully these reinforcement welds eliminate the noise once and for all.

interesting. Let us know
Crunch noise is officially gone and the added NVH is barely noticeable in my opinion. It’s a little louder but barely. Keep in mind I’ve replaced every mount with race density mounts minus the engine mounts.
Glad to hear the crunch is gone.
