Been thinking about selling my black recaro front seats… they are both in good shape no rips or burns…
Looking to sell but Not sure on how to really price these?
Whats the going rate for them, Any help would be appreciated…

I would say stick with the stockers or else get Euro RS4 seats to keep it OEM.

If I’ve read correctly, these are the poor man’s Euro RS4 seats. Do you retain power seats with these? Or butt warmers? For that matter do the euro RS4 seats maintain these two functions?

Would this be daily driven? I could see this getting uncomfortable fast.
The euro seats don’t have power adjustments either. For that reason I’m not sure I could ever have then. My wife is like 1’2" shorter than me.
The power seats is more than just being lazy. I love the way the memory settings are linked to your key so when I unlock the car with my key, the seat goes into my driving position. The importance of the missus having her own key!
I like how fine of adjustments you can get with power seats, my gf’s golf is manual and the seats have maybe 7 different detents for distance from wheel and where I like it is between two of them
Oh fuck the GTI is a nightmare when the missus and I are switching cars. I can’t for the life of me work out why VW gave us a power recline but mechanical up/down and back/forth. If it was really cost then make the whole thing manual and be done with it.
those adjustments can be fun depending on the platform…
CTS-V seats have been dubbed “rockaro’s” since they “rock” back and forth a teeny tiny bit under hard acceleration / braking.
scared the fuck out of me the first time it happened. 1/8th of an inch feels like a foot when you just slammed on the gas and the ass is all squirly as fuck.

I noticed the seat rocked back a bit if I leaned back in the ctsv. I thought…shit…I need to lose some lbs.
what kind of weight savings would you gain?
Loose some pounds? Where would you loose weight?.. cut your legs off at the calf? or a haircut perhaps?
The recaro xl is 50.7lbs and the top line xl is 53.8… not including air bag and electronics and heater… I saw some where the were closer to 80lbs…
The sportster cs is 33.1lbs
That’s a decent weight shaving when you do both seats…
I could care less about power seats… and you can get seat warmers installed and retro fitted
If equal comfort could be obtained with 100 lbs loss over both seats I would do it
