Discuss 11.9 and 12.06 on REVO

Iā€™ve seen how bad Revo 100 is first hand lol and also the performance loss in warm weather it suffers from. Iā€™m not too worried although I like to be on top ;D

REVO 100 definitely fell on its face in the first 1/8, the ignition timing map was just way too advanced at say 1500-1750 hPa, but was fine over 1800 hPa. So in the first couple gears when boost was at 11-12 psig, ignition timing was stupid high up to 40 degrees, and settled down once it reached 13+psig to mid-high 30s deg advance - which is still high, but at least a little closer to MBT for the 110 gas I had in the tank.

But seriously, there must be a revision then that I hadnā€™t heard about for him to set these times. I wonder what happens if he takes it to the track a few more timesā€¦on REVO 100ā€¦I hope he doesnā€™t, I donā€™t wish a motor failure on anybody.

well when was it that you had itā€¦last june or something? They have most certainly evolved their tune(s). Everyone does in a competitive market. The JHM tune for the B6/7 S4 changed drastically over the last 3-4 years as the tuner found more and more. Speaking with him recently he said he found a whole slew of new changes that he has added to all their stuff. APR did the same with the B8 S4, revising it 2 or 3 times (that we know ofā€¦they probably made other improvements along the way that they didnā€™t tell us about). GIAC same again. Their B5 S4 stuff evolved like crazy over the years, including bringing in tuning specialists from other companies to help.

Itā€™s a constant evolution with a good company and a good market.

Just realized he posted at 12:03 am, April 1st. Ok now thatā€™s suspiciousā€¦innit

Sak I agree, but REVO has been in ā€œwind downā€ since then, which was also when Stasis took over. They had a revision to fix a couple issues related to LC and shifting, then it seems they made the Stasis tune, which in all likelihood is simply REVO 91.

For all of 2012 a few of us were asking when they would fix the REVO 100 fileā€¦no response. I was floored they would put so many cars at risk when they know about at least 3, if not more motors getting blown for the EXACT same issue, fuck same cylinder even.
