DIY - Belly Pan / lower engine cover - B6/7 S4

Why: If the car has it then it is required to remove the Belly Pan to access the lower part of the engine compartment.

Required Previous Steps:
Jack up front of the car onto jack stands or drive up onto ramps

Tools Required:

Flat head screwdriver

Steps:

  1. Remove all the half turn screws that hold the belly pan on and pull out the belly pan. Depending who has been working on the car in the past and how beat up the car is, there could be a few or bunch of screws missing. There are a total of 13 half turn screws that hold on the belly pan: 3 black short screws that go through the front bumper into the belly pan, 5 longer silver screws across the front of the belly pan that go through the belly pan into the body or side rubber/plastic pieces, 3 longer silver screws that go into the back of the belly pan that should stay into the belly pan when loosened, and 2 big black plastic screws that go through the fender liners into the belly pan. Here are pictures of the belly pan and where the screws should be:

I only have one shot of the fender liner screw holes but they are very similar.
