Why: 1. Required step when performing other repairs.
2. Common upgrade/modification
3. The end links wear out over time and mileage
Previous steps required:
- Jack the front of the car up and put on jack stands.
- Remove the belly pan. http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2922.0
Tools required:
- 16 mm open end wrench
- 13 mm socket and ratchet
Steps:
- Remove the four 16 mm bolts that hold the end links to the control arms and ends of the sway bar on each side. Then remove the end links.

- Hold the sway bar up with a hand in the middle of the bar and remove the four 13 mm nuts that hold the sway bar to the bottom of the car. If you don’t hold the sway bar in place while removing the nuts then it will fall on you and it hurts - trust me I know from experience.

- Reinstall everything in reverse of the previous steps and tighten down everything down. It would be best to install everything with the weight of the vehicle on the tires but that can be hard to do if you don’t have ramps to drive up on.
