DP question

I know the answer to this question is floating around on fourms, but can’t find the answer for the life of me. With piggies and tune, will I have to relocate the o2 sensors?

With the JHM tune then no.

Thanks jimmy

One is on top, the other below.

Oh wait, sorry, you meant downpipes. Nevermind.

lol

Well still haven’t had the time to gut my precats yet. Between work and the heat. With all the hrs I’ve been working I want to buy something nice for myself. Would it hurt things at all if I got my tune now and did my dp’s in a month or 2?

I feel the same way. I have been working like crazy the past few months and getting something nice for yourself for the hard work is a great idea.

As for the tune. you will be ok getting the JHM tune now. You will be happy that you did it will transform the car. As for the cats as long as they are ok and not clogged from years of use there should be no issues. The gutting the cats is for the cars overall health not just with the tune so when you get a chance you deffinitly want to do that.

Since we’re on a DP topic. With 2.5" catless DPs and no tune which o2 spacers would you fellas recommend? Trying to avoid CEL, as any light on the dash bugs the shit out of me.

I really think that’s what I will do. The car is starting to bore me. I have to figure out if I can do it myself, without any issues. I will never take it to the shop that can do it. I will never use them again. I am good with computers and very good mechanically, I just can’t afford to brick my ecu.

Depending on the eaxact build and ecu type. The spacers wont work. In 205.5 the ECUs started getting smarter. You can put in spacers but it will just take longer for the light to come on.

I thought you had the JHM tune… I dont know why I thought I read that somewhere. Are you considering getting tuned…obviously that would fix everything

The JHM tune at home option is really safe. The guys at JHM have been really great with anyone I have talked to that did a flash at home. It really is a night and day difference in how much power the car makes and how the car reacts. My car still puts a smile on my face after all these years.

Mine is a late build '05 B6 S4. Yeah, tune is essential part of the build, however, I want to run without tune just with catless none resonated FI fullback for a bit. Since I hate to have any kind of lights on dash at any point, I’d like to avoid cel for running catless hence my question.

In the next few weeks I think that will be my plan. Then later in the fall I’ll do the piggies.
