weird find…an Eaton M90 kit for a 2.7T? WTF?
Saw this on the QW allroad forum. That is crazy. And lol at almost 900chp on the stock motor ha.
the thing I’m curious is how this works… typically the inlet to the eaton roots blowers is on the back and the outlet is on the bottom. So it would need some additional piping to feed from the front of the car round back, and the TB would have to be located on this piping as well. As well the TB flange on the intake manifold is not sealed.
I am considering something similar to this for my A6 project. The idea has it’s merits, but that blower is too small

I was thinking if you were mafless with separate intakes for each turbo, then run the piping from the turbo back up to the inlet of the blower it could work. As far as the blower itself, its going to be wholly overwhelmed by anything K04 or bigger. 13.5k rpm is the max impeller speed from what I’ve found, at that impeller speed with no restriction it would move 690cfm… at a 2.0 pr it will move about 644cfm with a 51% adiabatic efficiency. 644cfm would be good for maybe 430bhp. If the turbos are moving more air then that, then the blower will physically not be able to consume that air (flow is proportional to displacement and impeller speed) and it will be a restriction, increasing pr and decreasing efficiency more. A sub 50% eff is going to be a hair drier.
Its a good blower for a 2.8 or 3.0, but not a 2.7 with k04s or up.
At the very least an 112, if used in conjunction with a bypass valve/piping this could be very effective in reduction of lag on a very large turbo. ;D
I still don’t understand how you are going to fit all that in an already cramped engine bay… you will have the only a6 with a shaker hood ;D
