you don’t need it with your multi port injection B6 S4. The gasoline being injected pre cylinder results in a washing effect on the valves, so any carbon tends to get cleaned out by the engine normally
FSI or direct injection engines inject fuel in the cylinder, bypassing the valves, and the carbon build up doesn’t get touched by the fuel.
What do most people use to clean carbon off the valves on their FSI engined Audis? Gasoline.
What did Toyota do to ensure their direct injection engines didn’t experience carbon buildup? Created an injector to wash the valves with…you guessed it…gasoline.
