im really curious to know the diff between the s4 and s5 flywheels. anyone have ETKA access that can look up some part numbers
my etka only works up to 2007
hey banana man i got some video of you in another thread lol
I don’t think my ETKA has the S5 in it. Also, my parallels has me locked out right now lol. So mad b/c updated to Lion (mac) meant the parallels 5 I bought doesn’t work anymore, so I downloaded a hacked parallels 6, but that will lock me out after 1 use. And little snitch (program to block application traffic) doesn’t have a cracked working version for Lion yet. Just a little rant on my end b/c I use my laptop a lot for vagcom etc.
i use VMware on my MBP and i love it, want me to find you a crack for that?
I may look at switching, I just was trying to avoid having to start fresh with reinstalling the windows programs I have, mainly being ETKA (b/c I’m not sure I still have the original file and a lot of the installs don’t work).
Have you found a good program other then little snitch to block network traffic? For adobe photoshop I just edited the .plist file and the ipaddress that it uses to connect which has worked fine. I thought I had the ipaddress for parallels to do the same, but apparently not or it has another means of checking.
i have a full crack of cs5 extended that i can fully update straight from adobe if you’re interested, pm me. no need to alter any plist files and can most likley find u any crack you need so u dont need little snitch

parallels? fuck that noise
^I downloaded that, but like I said, haven’t got around to making a whole new OS. In parallels I have a bare bones server 2008 as my OS which is great for logging etc b/c it’s very minimalistic. I also have ETKA, Vagcom, and some other programs already installed and setup. But yea.
I wish you could use a program like wine to run JUST vagcom so ya wouldn’t even have to bother with loading windows. No luck though for how intensive vagcom is I’m guessing.
I also “bought” parallels 2 years ago in a software bundle that had some programs I needed for work and got it paid for that way, so no real loss to me and I didn’t know about virtual box back then.
gotcha
anyway, try virtualbox with a pirated Windows XP and you’ll be in good shape.
I’d love to run vagcom off my phone or touchpad or something.
^X2 - would much rather have an IPAD2 with VCDS then lug around a lap top.
I keep hearing rumours about the touchpad getting cracked and Android running…but I haven’t seen anything concrete.
I had heard of someone running vagcom on his phone…maybe a windows or android phone?
I bought one of those netbook things for $200 from BB last month. Weighs about 1.25kg and decent battery life.
There’s also promise of Windows 8 being tablet friendly on hardware that’s running android at the moment (like the Tegra 2/3 based tabs). If M$ can get a decent interface with reasonable backwards compatibility with old programs (like VCDS, even if you have to use a stylus on retro XP-like interfaces) with good battery life, that’d be good for me.
I abandoned my Android tablet for anything other than goofing around because our electronic records at work doesn’t work on Android and I can’t seem to get any meaningful work done on it.
With the price of laptops these days a small 13" would be thin and light have decent power and battery life and be more useful and at least half the price of a tablet
Just got my parallels back up and working (for now at least), my ETKA only goes to 2007 as well. Sorry.
