Eurocode building a 3.0T.. Looks promising..

So looks like Eurocode is building a 3.0T to rev out past 8k… Should be pretty crazy with APR Stage 3…

Hope they actually give us some track results when it’s all said and done…

Kudos to them though for tearing it apart, just hope it’s for a good cause and we can get some good data out of it.

Pretty, can’t wait to see what it can handle. Wonder if this will be for sale to the public or just their own little project…

8500 rpm sounds soo good.

Cool… Looking forward to more on this… Hopefully, the new blower can push enough air air at those RPM’s?

Greg, Anything else you can share?

yeah, I don’t get it. Maybe I’m missing something. If the stock engine can handle the 1740, where’s the huge benefit of the big RPMs? To move the powerband farther out? I thought that was the best part of the B8 S4…the powerband being so fat early on.

And since we know the B8 is only making about 25-35 whp less than the B7 RS4 with that 1740 blower, i.e. that’s all that is left on the table and you can likely attribute that to displacement, what’s the point of doing an engine build with the B8?

UNLESS…the B8 S4 stock engine can’t handle 475 whp or whatever it’s making on the 1740, and a motor build is required (at a probably cost of $15,000-20,000 on top of the kit) . But if that’s the case, will anybody bother to pay that (around $30,000) to go from mid 11s to low 11s? To go from trapping 118 to 124? I dont’ see it.

So overall, I don’t get it.

I agree that this motor build is over kill on the 1740… Would be cool to see them single turbo it and make 800hp but I doubt that’s gonna happen…

Sounds like a marketing exercise at this point in time, as obvously its not cost effective for the average Joe to do prior to failure. But in a couple years as the motors start to go pop, they will have the upgraded parts ready to ship.

I like the list of cars they have built motors for over the last decade…RS4s, S5s…

^^^where’;d you see that? I saw that they took apart some motors
We have taken apart every motor worth building for the A3/A4/S4/RS4/A5/S5/A6/S6 during the last decade
Never mind that was it. I was just scanning and misread it. So everything they haven’t built wasn’t worth it I guess.

I have nothing to share, David posted this over on Audizine. It would most likely be best to ask him the questions over there.

Understood… I’ll follow the thread but won’t be posting on vendorzine…

Shoot him an email Ron, or call him. david@ecodetuning.com 310-294-8108

maybe you can hvae him sign up overe here. Its a more friendly enviremenet the AZ and we have a lot of guys here that are going to want to know more without clogging up the thread on AZ.

looks interesting. Eurocode can be the AWE of the 3.0T if they do this right. AWE made a big break out with the silver bulit maybe eurocode can do that with the project they have. with the growing 3.0 membership here I think this would be the fist polace to think to start the thread

Its better to keep the discussion here, and marketing over there. Both serve their purposes.

will be expensive, will still under perform, and will run on hopes and dreams…why?

Because it is an audi

Found this guy posted on Euro Codes FB page last night.

Never seen a picture of the NOS setup before, thought it was interesting.

I thought I’ve seen the pic before somewhere but could be wrong… Looks like the plates they made for plasticbags buddy… He was running juice so I’m assuming it was this or similar? Speaking of paperbag, ah nevermind…

If your doing a nitrous kit… that fogger set up look nice
