I thought it was because he had to be forced to go down the 1/4 mile by people and ended up running an 13.4 @ 124 mph in his claimed “600 awhp” S4 that he his parents paid $40,000 for him to have built and ship all over the country and then blow a head gasket because he is inept mechanically.

I think his whole thing was simple

  1. he blabbed a lot about his superbuild with VAST etc
  2. he ran it and it was always fucked up
  3. he ran shit quarter mile times
  4. he was then ‘rescued’ by EPL
  5. he then ran shit quarter mile times
  6. he disappeared, slightly embarrassed

Not much discussion. Happens to lots of guys when tuning companies don’t deliver. The B6/7 S4/RS4 graveyards are full of former good guys who got PES or VF Engineering superchargers, blabbed about it, got challenged, then ran shit times or lost pulls, then got angry and bitter, then sold their shit and left the forums.

Interestingly, it’s often the same companies customers who go through this. Lightbulb maybe? We saw it a dozen times with PES 4.2 guys. We saw it a bunch of times with VFE 4.2 guys. We are now seeing it a lot with the AMD/EPL guys in the B5 world. They all seem to talk how great their builds are…get challenged when dynos are all that’s provided to back up their/the tuner’s claims…then when they hit the strip and run 12s (or worse) they come up with a littany of excuses…recoil when challenged…call everyone haters…then get real quiet.

p.s. in evilevo’s defence, who cares how he paid for his car? Wouldn’t you like a $40,000 gift? What if his dad makes $40,000 a month? Someone who gets a $500 watch for graduation from a family making a modest income would consider that an awesome gift. If the family made $500,000 per year, and they bought their kid a more expensive gift…who the fuck cares? Isn’t that how shit works in a free capitalist democracy?

The car has 250K miles on it and looks beat!. It runs 12s and gets pulled on by rs6 turboed s4’s from a roll.

His cars mileage and appearance has nothing to do with how fast it is. The cars he has lost too, unless you have beat him, should not be a major concern of yours. He is a prick, but I find it strange that a person of your stature would gloat at his misfortunes.

Evilevo was at the local Audi meet tonight. He wasn’t very chatty but he said needs a new tune since the car is running rich from the new fuel lines and fuel rails. He also said that he just started driving the car after five months.

The local meet is a Euro meet with a bunch of BMWs and a lot fewer Audis. You guys don’t know how bad I want to lay down the smack down on some rondels!

This is why I hate and don’t participate on the forums anymore Jared. Everyone has something nasty to say, and nobody is here to help or encourage anymore. Believe me, I would have loved to keep a thread with all the changes I made on the car, and upcoming plans. But, I don’t want to deal with the hate from armchair racers anymore. Almost everyone who starts shit these days doesn’t even race. They are quick to criticize everyone, but they are guilty of everything they point fingers at and more. I still help people on a daily basis who reach out to me through email or private messages. I can’t do the back and forth on the forums anymore with people who either don’t race, don’t have a car worth pissing on, don’t know how to turn a bolt, etc… I’d rather spend my time working on my car, friends cars, helping with R&D on new products, and such. I wish there was a forum that was exclusive to actual hardcore enthusiasts. There was a forum, actually its vwsport.com now, or the hardcore vw forums. It was filled with drag racers, and people pushing the bar. The scene has died out, and that forum as well. It’s a shame. I know who the real enthusiasts are, I actually thought this forum would be similar to the hardcore forums, but it seems to be the same as every other forum. Trolls should be immediately eliminated, people on here to talk only, not help, or just take advice graciously eliminated immediately. If I ran this forum, I would ban people after one dumb post like this. Although me and Adam have had our disagreements, I respect him on a certain level for at least sending the car that day, even though we had to push him a little, and I had to force the car through tech late in the day. Looking back, I should have driven the car, or someone else. Agron took a shot, but the shift knob came off, and yes I believe him. Adam was forced a bit, he was nervous, I could see it in his face clearly. It’s intimidating enough to be sitting at the tree with all the people in the stands locked on you. On top of that, Adam knew the whole interwebz was grilling and critiquing and waiting for news. We’ve had our problems like I said, but at least he sent that bitch. Ugly pass, I actually have it on video, but he did send it. 124 or whatever it was is half way respectful for such a bad pass in my opinion. I know I could, or anyone focused could get that car over 130. 600 whp? I don’t know, but it moves ok. I went 130+ the same day with a equally ugly pass. My car rolled off the dynojet the day before with under 600whp, in the low 590’s. We had problems, so we turned it down. Then on top of it, the water system had air trapped and I was overheating. My ViPec pulled timing due to air and water temp, we saw it in the logs. Actual hp that day, I’d guess I was somewhere in between 550 and 580 as a safe guess. Bottom line is, and my point is, the forums suck. Im not sure why you’re even surprised to see posts like this anymore. I was there that day, so here are the facts. He had a 2.3-2.4 60ft is I remember correctly, and mine was 2.26 I think, basically trying to keep the welded axle together. Next pass I went to send it on the launch control and broke it again. There are variables beyond 600whp. It was a hot day, his 60ft sucked, he was nervous as shit, looked like a deer in between headlights when I gave him his keys back after getting it through tech for him. I’m not a friend of his, we’ve battled, he is an acquaintance, I have no problems with him. So here are the facts. Guarantee the OP either doesn’t have an S4, has a piece of crap one, doesn’t race, or have any worth wild knowledge worth sharing. I’d ban him right away if this was my forum. Original 2000 S4 owner. Went from stock to full stage 3+ homebrew and self tuned in 2002. Went 11.9 @ 119 mph in that. Been on and off the forums when I been in the states but haven’t the last couple years.

Built my first RS6 w/rods etc. 7 years ago between my first and second tours of duty in Afghanistan. Went 11.6 @125 mph in that.

Then I starting building my 3.0L block in 2007. Then deployed again.

After I got back in 2008 I was transferred to Texas and didnt have the S4 because it was in pieces in my buddies garage.

Been deployed for the the past 3 years in between Afghanistan and Iraq until I had my left arm blown off and lost my left ear in Iraq 8 months ago. So no wrenching anymore for me.

That’s who the fuck I am.

I had my “hold ups” that I explained in the thread you started about my tuning, but the car is up and running again. We’ll be doing power tuning next week I’m hoping, and making shake downs in the nice cool fall weather.

Nope. My car got hit by a garbage truck and I spent the little bit of money they gave me on a damaged b6 audi and w rs4 bumper. I hope to make it before the tracks close. I also hope that you can make it also.

I don’t participate near as much on the forums in general as I used to, and I pretty much only come to this forum now to get some laughs at the pretentious postings of the forum die-hard circle jerker’s. When I am about to reply to some of the stuff I read here, I have to remind myself to close the window and that almost never does anything constructive come from it. I had high hopes for this forum based on the ideals of an advertiser free forum, but, unfortunately, forum ethos is defined by its active community, independent of whether that is constructive or destructive, pretentious or unassuming, encouraging or discouraging. It’s a shame, really.

How is my post negative towards Evilevo? I wanted to know more about his car so I asked him. Hell once I get my car done I would love to do some runs with him to see how a SC B6 stacks up against a built B5 S4 along with a few other local people that have asked already.
