Hey racer…nobody on this site really puts a lot of faith in dyno sheets since they don’t tell you how fast you are…they tell you what the dyno and its operator want to tell you. We have seen lots of “dyno-fast” cars that turned out to not actually be very fast once they are in the road. On the other hand we have never seen a car that was dragstrip-fast that want any good on the road. That’s why so many demand more than a piece of paper.
When the dyno operator in question here is the same company that tuned his car…and charged him a good buck…and coincidentally has really never had any of the fast cars in the B5 scene…the dyno is even more empty to many of us.
I think Racer basically said “the car is FAST” here is the fast dynograph…but we won’t ever go to the dragstrip because we might be embarrassed by what we run.
Exactly… This site isn’t the one to pull a dyno sheet out and think anyone is going to care… HERE BAM here is my sweet dyno sheet… its by the same company that tuned the car so sure there is a little help with the numbers they want it to look good… Ive said it before and Ill say it AGAIN…
Who in there right mind ever pulls up to a stop light revs the motor and says on green Im going to pull out my dyno sheet… I don’t actually want to race… if you really want to race let me get my logs out and show you my FATS time…or better yet I have logs… did I mention I have logs and a sweet dyno sheet… (then incert long paus and the other guy spinnign his tires and pulling away laughing)… what the F is wrong with that guy… I knwe my dyno sheet was going to scare him off… look at that sweet color scheem.
hahaha ncie. I actually can’t take credit for it… while Ive said that many times that is directly from countvohn himself. him and justin raced a b5 guy about 7 months ago and just destroyed the B5 directly after the race the B5 guy went on and on about his power. The above rant was almost vintage word for word what countvohn’s respone was.
It was a moment of difficulty for the B5 guy. We changed how the hit came in on justins car. Tightened up the shifts. Got a lot more top end out of it. The B5 was a stage 3+ car. Not sure what the + is for. Now a days its hard to know what qualifies for what stage. Ill let justin tell more about the B5 and the race.
It was nice that you mentioned I said this but you can own it if you want. I saw you say something similar a few months back. Its good to see the phrase and thought getting some traction. I think most people don’t realize how empty a dyno is in the sense it gets used and how some people latch on and reference it.
If dyno sheets meant so much, I have a tractor that makes 630whp and 800wtq but Im not looking to race my tractor anytime soon. If someone needs a field plowed let me know
