I know someone mentioned they were getting one… just checked the ford website. You can spec a base model f150 with the ecoboost engine… holy balls… Might be changing my plans.

My dad has the F150 Platinum with the ecoboost. Really nice truck and engine. Smooth but still has power. I have towed a pretty good amount of weight with it and it worked great. I really like it. I have a V8 F150 Lariat that I was daily driving for a long time and hated it. I could daily drive that truck no problem.

Yes it was me, althought I bought a 2013 FX4 supercrew that is basically loaded. I love this fucking truck and even the power stock is pretty surprising. It blows my 2007 5.3l Silverado out of the water and honestly there are 4wd supercrews running 12.80s…who knows what the single cabs will be able to do.
I bought mine in OH for 25% off MSRP…killer deal if your interested ill give you the dealer. I averaged about 18 mpg on my trip back even through the mountains and my truck has a 36 gallon tank so I almost went 700 miles before filling up. I commute ~10 miles a day down here so one fill up is going to last forever.
Mods will come as soon as the S is sold, but I want to chat with CV to see if he will give away any inside info.

I’ve always been a chevy guy but hard to ignore this truck… I was thinking just a base single cab with 4wd and a couple options, considering the mpg is comparable to my current car and the potential for it, it seems pretty wicked. I saw some runs on the svtperformance forum and was quite impressed.

You can, in Canada at least. Any engine except the 6.2. Although you have to get it with the 8’ box, so I think I would get extended cab.
Sweet…so did you test drive? I’m interested in your opinion. I never even looked back at my Silverado after I drove this FX4…and I loved my Chevy.
No, client had a hissy fit when I was about to leave (I live 2 mins from the auto mall haha) so I had to work late.
I’ll try to check it out tonight. My dad has always had chev/gm trucks growing up so I’m quite familiar with them, specifically the new 6.2 and turbodiesel engines… Never driven a ford truck though, I might get disowned for even sitting in one
