Just wondering if someone have start à group on Facebook about the s6 or anyone want to start one .
If its for the idea of directing traffic back here for a larger footprint that might be a good idea. But so far most facebook groups seem to just be a sespool. Generally if I see someone struggling on other sites I or the others will tell them to just come sign up here.
On AR its a karma system or member system. You will see troll types hate this forum because its not a good site for trolls. Every troll I have seen generally gets voted off the site very quickly. That helps keep the scam guys out of the conversation and keeps the forum maybe smaller but with more productive guys. Lots of guys are here. Some guys read more then they post but its one of the best forums.
Case in point. There was a guy trying to talk about hot air intakes for the S6 he then made fun of everyone that was telling him how this was a bad idea. To try and prove his point he posted a slip from the drag strip saying how all of us were stupid. Turns out it wasnt his slip and as usual he was cought lieing. On other sites guys like that might stick around for years talking trash and causing issues. Not here he got voted off by the guys that can vote.
AR is smaller due to how the site works so it could help bring more people in. But the over all idea would be better to keep all the information in one spot. That and I dont have a facebook account
Quality over quantity always, in my opinion.
I’d join it, and know a guy with a 2014 S6 with around 700hp that would probably join, but it’d be nothing more than justincredible is saying–a place to gather more folks for the forum and to talk about the forum’s activities, breakthroughs, etc. Could be an easy place to have people throw down a bunch of pictures and videos too though. The typical Share interface for FB is usually seamless enough that people are more apt to use it generally.
Some day, when we’re old and gray, we can talk to our kids about this forum and the things we did that no one else could, tried or both. We will never again (well, most likely anyway) see a V10 roll off the production line, and that gives us a unique type of bond to our cars that you just can’t have any other way. If I were the leaders of this forum, and if a FB page would contribute to my goals, I’d be all for it.
