It’s good to hear you’re having fun, from the looks of it, the 6.9 PSI says you had too much fun and hit the rev limit. The boost will spike for a brief moment as the throttle shuts just before the bypass opens, when you hit the rev limit.
The great thing about the Vortech units, the more RPM you give them, the faster they climb up the RPM. It can make it hard to know when to shift, as the car never lays down up top.
The stage 2 makes it even harder to know when to shift as the RPMs zing by even faster. ;D Just thought I would throw that tease out there at you. ;D
Hey ! Yep i had some fun for a brief moment there
So that day i started my car in the morning let it warm up for a
While, and when i was on my way out to do some stuff the car was cool and nice around 160* and i had my friend w me,his face was when i pushed that thing from the 1st gear to 2nd gear it went side ways that was little curve to the left for
The first gear and little curve to the right for the 2nd gear and a straight line for the rest of the gears, man what an freeway entrance i have close to my house, those cars when they are cool they are some beast, cant wait to run stage 2 intercooled!
And forgot to mention, my car only hit that high of psi only twice on a almost an year of owner ship of the kit,it was on low gear hitting the rev limiter, other than that a average i would say on a cool day is 5.7 to 6.1,6.2
On a hot day it stays around 5.4 to 5.7,5.9!!
I really miss driving in the nasty stuff (12 years in Chicago). Used to feel like I got an extra 50hp when the temp spiked low. ;D
In Florida, I wear a light jacket maybe once or twice a year. I gave away my snow scrapers to auto-crossers that like to use the brush to sweep pebbles off their r-comp tires. Cold dense air for me is 58 °F. I run extreme-summer tires all-year round. I wash my car all-year round (and no salt to worry about).
LOL when the temps drop past the 50s I get super cocky. The car always feels good and always feels fast but when the temps get in that range you can tell the motor loves it. The car just snaps
Cold winters in Chicago were amazing in the B5 A4/S4 way back when. So much extra power. You get it in the mountains too, but the elevation kills it. It was like going back to stock when I moved here.
