What! Those gains are HUGE!! :o

Very nice to see y’all bring this to market. Nice gains as well! Look forward to see what the long term potential of this motor will be.

What accounts for the >200 lb-ft gain at 1500 rpm? Were you able to spool the turbo earlier?

Probably a good bit from just ecu torque restriction like we see on the RS4 and other audi’s. The lesser torque number probably makes for a more civilized daily driver as most people would want from a $100k long wheel base saloon.

That’s incredible. I don’t know the numbers, but I bet that’s a good bit faster than the D3 S8

I’m not sure I understand the question. All of our dyno runs for this vehicle started at 1500 RPM, stock and modified with our 91, 93 and 100 octane calibrations.

At 1500 RPM we’re not seeing greater than a 200 FT-LBS gain. Also, at no point, on any octane, are we seeing greater than a 200 FT-LBS gain over stock.

that’s an understatement

stock, the A8 4.0T whips the shit out of the D3 S8

tuned, it’s a world of hurt.

Consider that the D3 S8 was a 13.0 @ 107 type of car (edit: best I could find was 13.4 @ 105 from motortrend. C&D 13.7 @ 105), and the stock A8 4.0T is capable of 12.5-12.7 @ 112

Add 100+ across the board, and you’re looking at the tuned car running 11.8 @ 116-118.

Arin,

You guys never fail to deliver.
