flywheel shot after 20k!?

OK so,

I was driving up through Truckee headed towards Incline and I suddenly got a vibration in my clutch pedal so I drove home and stopped by shop on Sat and the guy said he needs to drop transmisson becuase its my flywheel thats causing vibrations probably. So then I say, “I just put a new one in it has less than 20k on it” so they tell me to call who did work, that guy isn’t willing to do anything for me, says its out of warranty… When I bought the car I had about 93k-95 and I had a new OEM clutch, flywheel, bearings, bolts, oem fluid replaced, I’m at 115 now.

Is it even possible for a new flywheel to fail after not even 20,000 miles??? vibrations are pretty bad i feel it in clutch pedal, and when i’m holding the shifter. Anyways I"m lost here and pissed not really sure what to do… even if I could figure out how i’m going to drop transmisson now and buy new clutch assembly, is JHM even selling their kits yet cuz if my shop is right and its flywheel theres no way i’m putting in another dual mass.

if it was installed poorly, it could lead to failure. There was a guy on quattrofail whose dealership improperly installed his, grenading his whole clutch/flywheel setup. $1700 in parts down the drain (plus the labour as they weren’t owning up to their obvious errors).

p.s. what fllywheel/clutch did you have on the car before?

origional parts were on it i assume because I bought the car 1st and 2nd synchro’s were out so I dont think it had been replaced yet, I bought used tranmisson with 70k on it and put new OEM parts in.
