That’s because I’m an “old fart”. We tried some VCDS, runs 30-12o mph, stock, methanol off, vent open methanol off and finally vent open meth on. I couldn’t figure out on my VCDS all the info everyone asked for so it in essence was worthless. Primetime saw the limited logs, said no appreciable difference. I have one more step to complete, a Revo or GIAC ECU and DSG tune. Still muggy down here but when the weather clears and cools off to Coastline I go. I know at least this, stationary and racing the engine air is being drawn in through the inlet!
I kept trying to see if you updated your thread. This’ll definitely be something that separates your car from others. It’s your car and your intentions are good. Interested in seeing the next stages in your journey.
Todd from AWE is on here try sending him a pm or making a thread talking about where your at with your conversations with giac dealers. And link it in a pm to Todd.
I’ve been waiting about 8 weeks for Revo to come out with the tunes for the 8.5’s. A Revo dealer is just over an hour from my house. Revo agreed to help subsidize the tunes, ECU and DSG, to an extent. Our plan is to Dyno the car with APR, install the Revo tunes and dyno again. I have talked to GIAC and it’s nearest dealer to me, 6.5 hours away. If Revo can’t get something done by mid to late October that’s where I’m going. More money and a pulley change out as well. Thanks
I think I’ve suggested this but have you asked primetime how close APR is to getting the DSG tune out ?
I believe he has it based on some of his cryptic messages. If you have talked to him, that’s fine. Just didn’t hear back if you had. I realize primetime can’t speak about it etc
I have that stand up on DVD, super underrated, it’s one of my favorites of all time. It’s too bad Chappelle had to go awol, cause I don’t think it will ever get recognized for what it is. At least in my opinion.
