I had a 2014 S4 with DSG for a dealer loaner for a couple of days. Bone stock, nice car. Just for the heck of it I did several 0-60 runs using launch control and my I phone stop watch. I did my best to co-ordinate brake release and timer start. Best time I saw was 4.85 seconds. Density altitude was -986 Ft.
It’s worth nothing. Did you video tape it and then time it? or did you really sit there with phone in one hand and steering wheel in the other trying to start and stop your iPhone?
Never a dull moment with you around. Did your car shit the bed with the Revo tune ready? I can’t believe Audi will touch a car with a hack-a-hole let alone give that same customer an S4 loaner.
If you have vagcom cable, do the lap timer mod. Then its easier to calculate 0-60 times compared to cell phone. Do may be ten runs and get an average of the ten runs on the same road same day at a certain DA. Then when and if you get your car back on a day with same da go to the same road and do 10 runs and average them out. Of course make sure you have the same amount of gas on both runs. So the weight of the car does not change.
My friend feel your pain but take my suggestion for whatever its worth!!
I did the runs out of curiosity, not very scientific but we have cold weather here and DA is low so I thought I’d give it a try. If I’m not mistaken the numbers are about what Audi claims.
Yes, routine maintenance and have Brembos all around. Way to much brake dust so I had Carbotech pads put on. Much to the dismay of some it is still running fine, no problems.
