From stock b6 to supercharged b7

Bit of a frankenstein kit I have then lol.

I’ll definitely keep an eye on the KC progress you make. I wanna make sure everything on my car runs right before I start messing around and adding parts.

The current record is 11.92 @ 116.5mph set with a stage 1 B6 S4. I was able to run a 12.22 @ 118.16mph but I was more or less on a stage 1 tune because it was detuned for a 6000’ elevation so I was bleeding off boost like crazy. There also may have been some other unknown issues because my ECU had gotten soaked. I haven’t gotten to go back because of a slew of issues I’ve run into, but I hope to go back this fall. I’m supposed to be able to run low 11s with a trap somewhere around 128mph. That being said, I think if you can get into the 11s, that would be very respectable. The drag strip actually takes quite a bit of skill.

It does take a bit of practice at the drag strip.

Just for a timing reference of the fast times posted:
Stage 1 S4s run 11.9s-12.0s
Stage 1 RS4s run 11.6s-11.7s
Dennis’s Stage 1+ RS4 ran a 11.39 but could have run a little faster.
So this stage 1+ S4 should run around 11.6s maybe. It is kind of hard to gauge.

This is a good point you were basically a stage 1+ car. The times and performance all makes sense. I saw the logs you guys took interesting when you think about this now but yes you were the frist track run stage 1+ car. Your times are actually very impressive.

What jimmy posted makes good sense. Depending on the time of year the DA and the conditions you should be in the 11.6 range. You will know more after the first track run. Before you go to the track make sure to come back here and get some tips from the SC guys on good track prep and tips on how to make a good pass with a header supercharged 4.2.

I’m not sure a stage 1+ S4 could run 11.6. Has JHM run an 11.6 with their stage 1+? The difference between 1 and 1+ for the S4 doesn’t seem big enough to warrant shaving off 0.3/0.4 seconds in the 11 second range. But I am willing and hoping to be corrected lol

I don’t think that JHM ever ran their S4 in a stage 1+ configuration or if they did I don’t know what it ran. The way that my S4 is set up for stage 1+ will make much more consistent runs at a tiny bit faster than stage 1 times. ///Julian’s S4 will see higher boost pressure like the RS4 stage 1+ kit so he should run noticeably faster than us.

We’ll see, still gotta finish breaking in the clutch, still only got 300 miles on it ::slight_smile: ::slight_smile:

Honestly from what you guys said anything in the 11’s and im good lol

Only really worried about launching… I know you’ve broken a couple of axles and im running even wider tires than you…

Launching is going to be where it all starts and stops. The big thing I keep trying to mention is how you don’t need to shock the tires to get a good 1/4 mile time. I have an automatic and I don’t have the ability to shock the tires like you guys do but us auto guys can still come to close to the same times with low rpm launches. Its more about smooth continuious acceleration.

2500rpm and make sure to quickly feed the clutch power. Don’t drop the clutch. get launch assist to kick in and just feed the clutch in.

Hopefully both David and Julian are alright in PR. I was just thinking this car might benefit from killer chiller being in such a hot climate…

Hey we are both fine thankfully. Our area wasn’t hit as hard as the rest of the island.

The car is currently in storage and will probably stay there for a couple of months until everything gets back to normal here. Definitely keeping an eye on the killer chiller but modding isn’t a priority right now lol.

Didn’t update the thread but i swapped wheels a couple of days before the hurricane, got some 18" ADV1’s.

Glad to hear you guys are alright! Damn that’s one meaty set up lol I kinda like it!

Thanks for the update. I’ll be honest you car looks fantastic all the mods really make it look like an RS4

Glad to hear it all worked out for you.

Thanks definitely need some meat on the wheels to deal with our shitty roads lol

Thanks! Still wanna change the exterior up a bit but that will happen later i guess.
