Front Euro Plate Holder

Hello All,

I have a couple of questions. I know there’s mixed feelings about the Euro plates but I’d like to get one.

  1. How do I get this cover off? I can’t see a way to get it off but it’s probably simpler than I’m thinking it is.

  1. Once I get it off, would the mount for a Euro Plate be under it? Or do I need to get a mount after I get this cover off?

This may be a noob question but I cannot figure it out for the life of me ??? ;D

it’s screwed to the grill from the back side - you’ll have to remove the whole bumper cover to get at it. Also from the looks of the C6 4F pics on the EU facebook group, the euro plate holder is a different plastic piece in the center, there’s nothing under that part in the middle.

My stock grill is off the car - I’ll snap some pics for ya

wanna sell that blank insert when you go Eu holder? If so, I’m a buyer please let me know! :sunglasses:

That would be much appreciated.

Will do. That is when I actually have time to take the whole bumper off. I’ll even wash all the Michigan mud and salt off

I just yanked mine (errrr, bumper?) the other day here - not entirely hard of a job.

3 torx/10mm bolts along top of grille area, then 3 small torx in each fender well edge (seen after removing one tiny torx securing fender liner to pull it back. Then one 10mm nut waaaay in the fender behind the blinker area that is a bit of a biatch to get to… well, getting back on was the challenge really.

Then just disconnect the dzus along the belly pan edges / corners and pop it right off. Please let me know, I’ve been hoping to make that swap on mine here for awhile now.

Thanks, and good luck…

ps… also need to pop the headlight washer line on driver side… lift black plastic circlip up (don’t let it shoot across room like me) - and - be ready to capture all the fluid (not like me having to rush to grab a bucket like a dumb@$$.

then need to disconnect the parking lights and LED trim strip plugs… be careful not to bust the tabs on the plugs, all dried up and crumbly… I didn’t fare as well lol / d’oh… ah well.
