Hello,
Does anybody happen to know the thread pattern for the fuel pump of a 2007 Audi S6?
Or has anyone replaced the OEM metal fuel lines with aftermarket flexible ones and can tell me which fit?
Thanks
You cannot use flex hoses on high-pressure fuel side. Furthermore, the “threads” of the metal line are cross-threaded? If so you’ll need replace the line with OEM one. If its the HPFP fitting, simply replace the fitting on the HPFP.
Yes Majestic… Mizmo is right. Unless you get fuel hose that can stand 150bar (not sure it’s a thing) standard fuel hose will just burst. I’ll look and see if there’s some other possible solution because not using hardlines would be great.
So fuel hoses would 100% burst if its not the metal oem ones? Damn, im in the process of removing my intake manifold and replacing the lines with flexible ones would make everything so much easier
I got ones that can theoretically support up to 500psi and a “burst pressure of 2000 psi”. So iguess they wont be absolutely useless since I can change the low pressure ones, but not the high pressure ones?
Don’t risk anything like what you’re saying unless you want the S6 to burn to the ground in the middle of the road.
If you screwed up a line, call Audi. Give the vin and tell em what you need.
Why do you want to replace them in the first place?
