We had this poll 4 years ago. Pretty funny.
Respondants to the poll said
YES = 4 people
NO = 11 people
I voted no. The no votes were right for a 2-3 years, until primetime went 11.93 on pump to become the first to do it (daily driver form…full interior, street tires etc). It’s neat how close it is though. I don’t think any of us back then thought there would be so many cars on pump down in the 12.0-12.1 range. Personally I was thinking 4 tenths slower than the B7 RS4 and B8 S5 which went 11.8-11.9. Maybe 12.2…likely 12.3-12.4.

The third respondant is an interesting one (kevkev). As is Marty who used to have his period everytime I mentioned the B8 S4 back then.
Post 27 I reference some new guy with a B8 S4 named primetime
[quote=sakimano]Simple question. I’ve been hearing lots of folks submit this as a hypothesis about the B8 S4, whether it’s B8 owners or tuners…that a suite of bolt ons will get the car into the 11s.
Some facts
Car weighs 3950-4050lbs stock
car dynos 275-295 whp and torque on traditional tough Mustang dynos/dynojet dynos
APR’s tune just released appears to add 38WHP on their dyno
Quarter mile performance ranges from 12.9@108 to 13.5@105 (various autojournals had results in that range, but were mostly around 13.1-13.2@106)
So…do you think it will get there with the TVS 1320? I personally don’t…because getting from 13.0 to 11.99 takes a boatload of horsepower, and I’m just not sure the little blower on the 3.0L V6 can do it. Of course engine dynamics is a helluva drug…so who the hell knows what will happen.
What do you think?
***I’m talking full interior, normal tires, daily driven B8 S4s here…not APR’s race car which has no carpet!
