Nice. Upon seeing the car in person my level of want is not as high as it was on paper. But I appreciate what it is. I think the squared off engine bay would bother me from a visibility standpoint. I like how the German cars slope away, particularly mid and rear engine cars like Porsche.
Nice driving. Very smooth. Incredible you shaved 4 seconds off too!!!
The way you are approaching learning is great. Once you get to the stage where you really throw the car into the corners, you’ll have such a good base to build upon. There is a ton of understeer on your car --especially as you get on the power shortly after you enter the corner. Does your instructor allow you to brake harder/deeper (trailing the brakes)? trailing the throttle as you dive into the apex will get you some rotation. Then you can romp on the gas hard to exit, and the understeer from that wouldn’t matter as much since you’re tracking out anyway.
Honestly tho, it looks like you’re the ideal student. Reserved but exploring the limits. Doesn’t get into sketchy situations and always calm despite driving quite fast (your fastest lap looking good!)
Haha thanks man. Yea I still am very noob to the world of trail braking. I prefer not to dive into it, but when I have tried, didn’t seem to do much for me. Trying to convince myself to sign up for one additional event this year - road america 8)

I’ve been to an event there way back when I was driving a supercharged MKIII GTI Vr6 - and it was a blast. I’m in the process now of getting the S4 ready for a track event next year. Its been a while since I’ve attended one too long and probably need to relearn how to ‘drive’ again.
Road America definitely is a big boy track.
