Getting the a4 back tomorrow :)

I mentioned getting run off the road in the light weight wheel thread, but she’s coming back to me tomorrow for those that didn’t know. Damage was front subframe, front right lower control arm, and both passenger-side wheels/tires. I took the opportunity to do a few upgrades since the subframe was coming out >:]

034 front density-line control arms for both sides
B6 S4 subframe - bushings are stiffer, not sure if there are other benefits
034 track density trans and motor mounts
I’m pretty excited to drive it again - been driving around an f150 with worn suspension for almost 3 weeks.

The only bad thing is that I’ll be running some 17" audi wheels(got them for really cheap) and crappy used tires while I wait for the new Forgestars.

Need some advice please: I have 2 good ultrasport wheels and 2 hankook 245/40/18 tires with good tread. I have one ultrasport wheel with a single tiny nick on the outer edge of the wheel. What should I do with this stuff? Scrapyard? :slight_smile:

Throw it for sale, give someone a start on a really cheap set of usp wheels. Are they oem?

If anyone has ever been on the fence on whether or not they should go with the track density mounts on our cars, definitely do it. My drivetrain is completely locked down and I barely notice the vibrations at idle. I’ve noticed a marked improvement in throttle response, which I didn’t think was even possible as the 3.0(with a manual lol) has great throttle response already. Shifting has improved greatly and there’s none of that lag you would experience when shifting hard with stock mounts.

The 034 density-line control arm sets are also a marked improvement in steering response and handling. I didn’t go all out with the adjustable spherical ends, but I really wanted to. I think if I ever turn her into a track car I’ll go that route.

Time for a tune! Who wants to bet on how much I can wear down these tires by the time I get my new wheels and tires?

A43zero6spd I didn’t have time to make a separate trip with my truck to pick up the good wheels, but I will do that tomorrow and get you the pics.
