GIAC software 1/4mile results

Car 2011 DSG w/ AWE exhaust, intake, and GIAC software ran 12.06 @ 114.9mph!

DA was -273 I believe one post stated. Odd that this individual started a thread about his install with a video of the dyno results but still hasn’t posted any numbers. He also hasn’t confirmed if his 12.0 run was with a race file or 91 octane.

In any event, I think this just puts more pressure on APR to lay it all on the table with their 2.0 tune! Will see…

hmmm 1FastS4.com, not this guy again

Care to share?

we’ll let saki cover that but he was the “spokesman” for the vf rs4 supercharger that had all the issues. he does have affiliations with awe and is/was doing Internet sales for audi.

Car ran good… he needs to pass on LC… Just for reference here is what I ran with the same mods, well a strat intake, miltek exhaust, apr 100 tune… He got me by 7 thousandths but I out trapped him bad… lol DA was much better for him as well…

DA 450 Dragtimes - 3000 miles - intake, tune, exhaust, 100 octane - ESP/ASR off
1.7470 60ft
5.0713 330ft
7.7848 1/8 mile
91.36 1/8 mph
??.??? 1000 foot et
12.0694 1/4 time

Not sure why everyone is getting their panties in a bunch with this one or Auditudes times… So this dude works for GIAC or AWE eh… figured with the stickers! lol I’ll stick with APR as they have the experience with the race car, more time on the platform, and have been more the willing to work with me… Either way good times ahead for the platform!

yeah Saki will be able to give more insight but he has a tarnished rep imho… like how he was trying to sell his old RS4 with B5 S4 HP2 front calipers on it

GIAC was/is really aggressive with their stage 1/2 tunes on the B5 S4. So aggressive that they very drastically reduce the life of the turbos on b5’s. Looks like more of the same.

I’m willing to be this is a really hot tune. That guy is a shady mofo.

The bickering over there about the tunes is cracking me up.

yea its extremely entertaining, especially since i know where revo and giacs special sauce is coming from hehe

turkey neck tyson again? yea that car probably has nitrous just like every other “record setting car” they ever had. or like their eurotuner grand prix entries. they can suck a dick.

how do you really feel D lol

i fucking hate GIAC and i hate that fat fuck tyson. they are cheaters and scam people into buying their shit. it was the same thing with his vf garbage. fuck him.

What’s the sauce man??? :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol clearly some bad blood, GIAC and revo have a shady past with a lot of people, a few that I know personally.

I’ve looked around the b8s4 forum a fair bit, as I love those cars. None of the comparisons are apples to apples, the “stage 1” cars of revo and giac always have extra power adders. If you lined 3 s4’s up, all stock, same gas, a stage 1 tune from each company they all seem to offer a nearly identical product. APR seems to be the best option to date.

LOL! Now it’s being posted that these runs were on VP MS 109 and not Sunoco GT260… there is a decent difference

VP 109 - research octane is 109, pump octane is 105, and motor is 101
GT 260 - research octane is 105, pump octane is 100, and motor is 95

I specifically asked him and he said 100, and now it comes out it was really 105… sigh…

Oh but I am sure Auditude was on 93 with his Revo tune ::slight_smile:

Hahaha, surprise surprise eh :stuck_out_tongue: Where’s the thread stating this?

id like to say I’m surprised but thats typical tyson…

I think that was known all along wasn’t it? Thought I read that in the notes on youtube or something.

Anyway racegas is racegas. Big deal. There are two types of gas

  1. pump gas (94 and under)
  2. race gas

Also, why are people confused that the REVO or GIAC cars were so fast? We saw the logs…they’re throwing a bit more at the tune than APR originally did. The original APR tune you had primetime was weaker than the update that they sent you, wasn’t it? You went 12.0 a bunch of times, then went 11.7-11.8-11.9 with the new tune. There’s lots that APR left on the table for the simple reasons that they didn’t know then what they know now, and because they frankly didn’t need to produce a balls out tune. Now they do.

I do think APR is looking pretty lame by popping into the REVO threads whenever they can to attack. MAkes them look weak. Hey APR - act like you’ve been here before. They just seem so damn insecure. So does REVO franklly but to a lesser extent. I love how APR claims that REVO is doing unsafe things in the tune…but a week later, APR is going to offer a ‘GT version’ of their tune that will basically replicate some of what REVO did that APR deemed ‘unsafe’. APR is lucky they got out in front because if all three companies launched today, APR would look pretty bad.

Personally, between the three, I’d much rather see APR do well because your other choices are GIAC who are just plain weird and elusive…and REVO, a company that was started by stealing from APR lol. Still, it’s interesting and entertaining.

Meistah, It was brought up on QW and some folks said that and I also got some messges from others… Given it being CA it makes sense as even Sunoco GT260 is not for sale at pumps like most other states… I am lucky they sell it at quite a few stations here in Ohio… I can get better but not at the pump…

Saki, I ran last year with the original tune, intake, and exhaust the same time as he did with a higher trap… So APR’s tune wasn’t all that bad… no doubt my current beta tune is better but Arin tells me the v2.0 will be even better…

Arin has treated me very well but I am sure alot of that is because of my numbers… I’m fine with that as long as they keep helping me, however I do agree he shouldn’t get so defensive but in some ways that is his job so it is what it is… Maybe I should ask for a BBK in return for running huge APR stickers at the track? LOL NOT! I prefer to see all the tunes do well, it’s just the idiots who talk shit and don’t look at all the facts…

here’s what I posted on audiworld so the guys know who this guy is. Seems everyone’s afraid to call him out for past fails

for those who don’t get it…this was effing ridiculous. Turkey neck Tyson a.k.a. 1FastS4.com a.k.a. paid spokesman for VF Engineering and GIAC tuning was caught back in the day spinning lies to pump the crappy GIAC tuned VF Engineering RS4 supercharger kit. They used an Eaton M90…a.k.a. a supercharger that was popular in the 90s on medium to small displacement V6 engines…not 8250 rpm revving 4.2 litre V8 engines in the 21st century.

The fastest EVER 4.2 S4/RS4/S5 with an M90 supercharger was an S5 and a B6 S4 that each ran 12.5 @ 112. All of the rest of the S4/RS4s with VF and PES Eaton M90 kits on them ran 12.6-13.0 @ 109-111. We have about 15 cars that have produced timeslips. Those numbers make sense when you read the Eaton chart for the M90, which shows the blower maxes out around 700 CFM (around 420-430 hp crank). For the record, the TVS1320 maxes out in the 850 range (around 500-525 crank hp)…and no TVS1320 car is going to pull on a C6 Z06 lol let alone an M90 car.

Anyway,

[QUOTE=1FastS4.com]Been driving the car for two days now car is running great. Been taking some pics and videos. Will post vids as soon as I can. Car now has close to 9000 miles with 7000 SC’d miles. Had a great run in with BigDaddyM in his 2008 Z06 on the drive out from Vegas. The RS4 held it’s own by barley pulling away from Z06. I was more than happy with the outcome. I will try to upload a video soon of Jordan Yost Driving the RS4 vs the SC’d R8 when I get a chance. Well here are a few pics. Enjoy Please keep this post happy.

caution: lots of excuses and lies below

[QUOTE=1FastS4.com]We did that pull yesterday morning on the way to the track. I wanted to redo it again today but almost got popped by the NHP this morning. This run I speak of is a pull from 80 to 160ish. The RS has more boost in the upper revs, but I also had some great runs before NHP ruined it. You will have to wait till I post up the video. (sidenote) My main CPU crashed with the Sony Picture Motion Browser program that I need to decode the video. If anyone has this I can get the vids up quicker.

He was called out pretty heavily for that whopper, and of course he disappeared, and the video never surfaced. The sheer number of excuses packed into that quote has to be an Audi forum record. VF Engineering also disappeared when it became clear that we wouldn’t be satisfied without performance proof, rather than in house doctored up dynos. They never offered anything to prove their 500-550 hp claims (S4/RS4) with their Eaton M90 kits.

GIAC may indeed have a nice tune for the B8 S4, but until you see a more reputable source for information proving its performance, don’t be in a rush to buy anything based on turkey neck Tyson’s claims. To that end, you can’t buy jack from GIAC since they’re obviously not ready, but you know what I mean.

APR blazed the B8 S4 trail, and now REVO is delivering a tune with some oomph…and GIAC may one day…but the obvious choice is to goapr.com if you own a B8 S4. If you want a tune that pushes more timing at the motor etc to help match the REVO numbers, APR will give you one, and thanks to switching, you can have it along with their very solid V1 tunes. But giving $1200 to REVO or GIAC will enable those SOFTWARE ONLY companies to just put R&D money into another GIAC/REVO tune for some other platform…but giving money to APR will help support the development of a whole suite of products for the B8. Don’t lose sight of the prize guys.

Saki, Nice… pulling C6 Z06’s on the highway… lol Now that is some funny shit…
