GMG RS4 exhaust - sounds great...but what's the diameter?

$1800, x-pipe and ugly tips. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Not sure the diameter. I’d assume 2.5" (i.e. slightly larger than 2.36" stock size…but not the ideal 2.75") since we don’t hear much about this product. The bends aren’t exactly smoothe but not bad.

Sure sounded good (good comparo here…the Daytona Grey car is GMG…I am not sure on the others).

bet it performs/fits as well as their B8 S4 headers! lok

Was never a fan of round mufflers kind of like the ones AWE uses on their S4 exhausts. They look kind of “ricey” imo.

^^^I’d never have noticed that. Just spray em black and they’ll disappear.

I do agree the GMG exhaust sounds great on the RS4

I don’t know if it’s the angle, the finish, or something else, but it looks like fucking sewer line. Looks like 3" piping from here. The x-pipe design looks pretty good. I hope the bridge between the two resonators is closed off to either side. Now those nasty bends just past the resonators…yikes

+1 for hating the round mufflers. Always hated the way they look on the AWE/Thermal S4 system

Edit: Just shot them an email asking about the piping diameter and whether or not the resonator contraption allows the exhaust paths to cross. Asked how much power I will gain for shits and giggles

It is a excellent sounding exhaust… the oval tips kill the look but like saki says paint black and it will disappear…

i would just get stock RS4 tips put on.

joe i agree…looks FAT! Could just be a compression of the image causing it.

The Daytona Grey sounds absolutely amazing.

And from their website (which I have no idea the timeline)…“GMG B7 WC S4 system coming soon.”

Trying to learn more about this particular exhaust. Anyone hear back from these guys?

Thanks in advance!

I got an email back from them.

I haven’t tried.

If it’s a 2.50" (vs. 2.36" stock…and right after a 2.36" neckdown in stock downpipes) I don’t think I’d bother unless it was around $600 used somewhere (i.e. I could buy it JUST for sound and enjoy but then sell it for the same money later on when a sound + performance exhaust system is available.)
